Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) said in a statement on Friday that he will oppose the Graham-Cassidy Obamacare repeal bill. McCains vote against Graham-Cassidy effectively tanks renewed efforts to repeal Obamacare.
McCain said in a statement: advertisement
I cannot in good conscience vote for the Graham-Cassidy proposal. I believe we could do better working together, Republicans and Democrats, and have not yet really tried. Nor could I support it without knowing how much it will cost, how it will effect insurance premiums, and how many people will be helped or hurt by it. Without a full CBO score, which wont be available by the end of the month, we wont have reliable answers to any of those questions.

Yes...because the Dems really wanted to work with the Republicans when this whole debacle was enabled.
I don't view CBO as reliable estimates of anything. But putting that aside the end of the month is just 8 days away. McConnell could delay the vote a week but does anyone think that would change anything?
We should stop calling it ObamaCare and start calling it McCainCare since he is OK with leaving it in place.
Did anyone think he’d vote FOR it?
Well it’s not just him, there’s got to be two more RINOs that joined him - Murkowski and Collins.
That photo should be on on the cover of Drudge.
When did InSaine ever develop a conscious?
Juan paying fealty to Soros the Hutt.
Is that a song lyric?
“Why is this jealous little old twit so powerful?”
The Senate is seniority based. The longer you have been in office the more power you have and the more favors you can call in. John McCain should be the poster mummy for term limits.
Recently, McCain said something odd. He said that if Arizona’s (Republican) governor was in favor of the bill he would reluctantly support it. The governor issued a press release that very afternoon stating that the bill had his full support. I suspect the governor had threatened McCain, perhaps with having him declared incompetent. Whatever it was, it wasn’t enough to keep McCain focused long enough for the vote. We can only hope the governor will move quickly to end McCain’s term and replace him with a true conservative. However, McCain has lots of money so this route would be a real struggle. It would take a real judge to make the call.
McCain’s statements regarding his vote sound like perfect rationale. I doubt he wrote them as I’ve heard him speak recently and, while he may sound more lucid than Pelosi, I don’t think he’s capable of that much logical discourse. The real problem, however, appears to be emotional rather than logical. McCain was insulted by Trump and he is not a forgiving man. Nor does he still adhere to any conservative principles, assuming he ever did. At this point, he appears to be 100% driven by a diseased ego.
Once heard him described as an over- privileged(by virtue of his progenitors) POS, gigolo.
I think that was probably generous to him...
Unleash the Butt Kraken!
Mr. President, There is a cancer in the senate and it’s name is John McCain.....
I think the best thing to do now, is nothing. Don’t touch Barkycare. Let it collapse completely. It was passed entirely with Dem votes. Make them own it completely and all of its consequences. They did not want GOP suggestions when passing this garbage. Just let it collapse.
We should call it: McCainDon’tCare.
His reasons are now pathological. He won’t change Obamacare on a party line vote. Obamacare was created on a party line vote.
He’s an evil democrat. Even turning against Lindsey Graham. McCain is a corrupt filthy pig who desperately fears the Trump presidency. Not hates, fears.
Murkowski and Collins are two...
They did not want GOP suggestions when passing this garbage. Just let it collapse.
What reason do voters have to send Republicans to the Senate, if repeal is no longer something they can credibly campaign for?
