Summit County, Utah doesnt boast a vast population. However, what the county lacks in population it makes up for in an abundance of firearms.
Of the roughly 29,000 residents who occupy the county, 53 percent own a firearm. Thats according to City-Datas list of U.S. counties with the highest percentage of residents who keep firearms around their homes.
Impressive? Well, read on:

As I said earlier, polls like this are mainly for entertainment.
Actually, Frederick County, MD is on the list. MD gun laws are strict and pretty stupid. The second Amendment doesn’t apply in Maryland.
I thought my Maryland County might make the list. in state government, we are 99% republican represented. It seems that just about everyone I know owns firearms.
So Texas Tick, what are you trying to say? That Texas is really #1? How childish! As they say, “everything is BIG in Texas,” even the BS stories you tell. You somehow want to “inflate” Texas’ numbers by including UNREGISTERED guns? You really think that here in CA there aren’t large numbers of unregistered guns too? Get serious!
“NOTE TO TENNESSEANS: YOU CAN NOW GET A LIFE TIME CCW PERMIT $200.”
Used to work in Memphis. You definitely need a gun there. BTW anyone can get a non-resident Utah CCW for $47 if you can pass a class and a background check, and it’s good in 37 states, including TN!
“most folks i know, including myself, would not give that information out.”
My guess is that the data is for REGISTERED guns. You can’t “opt out” of that database.
Commander Menard would never forget the crafty look on the Japanese Commanders face as he frankly answered the question.
"You are right", he told the Americans. "We did indeed know much about your preparedness. We knew that probably every second home in your country contained firearms. We knew that your country actually had state championships for private citizens shooting military rifles. We were not fools to set foot in such quicksand."
We don’t register guns in Kentucky.
“We dont register guns in Kentucky.”
Good for you, but you do elect (and keep re-electing) pieces of $hit to the US Senate, so I guess it all evens out now doesn’t it?
LOL my home town has ~800 people and 652 firearms !!!
There actually has been discussion on making handgun registration optional here in Michigan.
I have more legal firearms than gubmint has knowledge of.

And, to scare gun grabbers. Most people are fairly reticent about who they tell about their guns.
If they were actually trying to get an accurate idea of percent gun ownership I think they’d have to back into it from a g’ment db, such as FFL records.
If you know how many guns you have you don’t have enough.
I appreciate the correction. I love the state, but it's leaders have screwed up the place to the point you expect every stat (about decent things) to be at the lowest possible level.
Every once in a while I toss out a thought like this out of frustration.
Don't get your panties in a wad over which State is #1. We know Californification has the most queers per capita. Including the ones that are UNREGISTERED.....missy?? You people with thin skin and on hormone treatments really get stirred up easy. Might want to put some ice on that
What a disgraceful comment! I understand in Texas there are steers and queers, so my question to you is “do you have horns?” And if you do, are you a “short horn,” or a “long horn?” From what you wrote, I’m betting you have to use tweezers to use the toilet!
Here’s a list of firearms ownership by state
