The DNC Had Another Awful Fundraising Month

The Democratic National Committee's already dire financial standing worsened during the month of August, according to its Wednesday night filing to the FEC.

The DNC raised just $4.4 million last month, the second lowest August fundraising figure for the party in the past decade. The party had less cash on hand at the end of the month than it did at the beginning, as its spending outpaced its fundraising by $44,575.

And it gets worse. The DNC's debt substantially increased ...

Party officials predicted in August that DNC fundraising figures would start to turn around, explaining that its fundraising staff was ten times bigger than it had been at the beginning of the year.

And yet they are operating hand to mouth whereas the GOP has $45 million in the bank, no debt and is fundraising at double what the RATs ar bringing in. That 10X staffing has to cost them dearly.

It's not fair that Americans are not giving to the DNC of their own free will - they just aren't smart enough to know that, after 40% or more of their earned income is taxed, that they then should give some of what's left over to the DNC.

It won't be long till the DNC insists that taxpayer monies should be used to fund their activities.
