Birth Control and Homosexuality: Unintended Consequences
American Thinker.com ^ | September 11, 2017 | Mike Konrad

In the 1980s, I had a boss who had gotten a masters degree in psychology from New York University. He was a brilliant man; could have been a doctor. He told me a story that explains much of what we see in society today.

It seems that while doing his graduate work in the early 1960s, he had to do research on lab rats, which were given the synthetic hormones used in the then new birth control pills. The results, he told me, showed that the grandchildren of these lab rats would have high rates of homosexual behaviors. From what he told me, the findings were suppressed. Apparently, the powers that be wanted “the pill” to pass muster. What happened to the second generation of rats that followed was of no consequence to them.

Then my boss told me: The first generation of kids born to mothers using the pill have already arrived. But we should expect in another generation a noticeable increase in homosexual behavior, as they would be the second generation. As that was then still in the future, I was shocked.

This was told me in the mid '80s. By his reckoning, we should have seen a societal explosion of homosexuality starting around 2000, and subsequently. And, of course, we have seen such an explosion. His prediction came true.

Now, to many classic conservatives – whether religious or merely social – homosexuality is a choice, something which can be learned and/or unlearned. The problem is: There is a degree of evidence that it may be contrariwise in some individuals.

I invite one to look at this short CBS 60 Minutes documentary about what happens to lab rats treated with sex hormones early on their development.

Actually the article is saying it is a chemical, not genetic, thing.

"Might I suggest chopping wood every few weeks? Pick up a competitive hobby..."

The biggest cause of the feminization of men is due to birth control drugs (female hormones) being peed down the toilet and making their way back into the city water supply. Taking up manly sports, etc. will increase a man's testosterone but it's a losing battle if he's drinking city water. If you don't live out in the country and drink well water then drink bottled water that you know is sourced from a rural supply.

"Besides, these days a man who gets a woman pregnant is likely to end up paying her way through life. So it’s probably economically beneficial."

Spoken like a true woman LOL No man with a pulse (and sufficient testosterone in his blood) would ever say that. We would die before we'd give up our manliness.

I have done quite a bit of research on the root cause of homosexuality over the last couple of years, mostly to satisfy my own need to refute the “born that way” claim because that just didn’t make sense to me. I have read exact cases of what you are talking about. There are also plenty of people who site situations of bullying when they were a child. Weak, late developing children are a prime target for this from classmates. Without an adult role model who is aware of the danger and knows the signs to watch for, the kid has no one to turn to for guidance. Combine that with our destructive mainstream cultural attitude that being gay is somehow desirable and it is no wonder that we have confused people sliding into that dangerous lifestyle.

Dr. Joseph Nicolosi was an amazing, positive force for good in the area helping homosexuals who want to heal and live normal, heterosexual lives. He, unfortunately, passed this spring from the flu, but he had a team of therapists he’d personally trained who are carrying on his work. I hope that one of them will pick up the torch of his research. If you aren’t aware of his work, his website is still active and there are many articles that he has written that give a clear picture of homosexuality as the disease it is.

No but that’s something different!
That’s pathetically stupid dangerously deluded parents.
In 1960 they would have lost custody PDQ!

And there would have been no sympathy in the press or the greater society!!

And we shouldn’t condone sin. And we should have a sane plan in mind for people caught in sin.

It’s a matter of an inborn need met the wrong way. Godliness has to be gained to remedy the problem. Learning how to gain from the love of God can be difficult but support groups and counselors can help focus this love.

The devil is jealous of his captives, and anyone who threatens to spill the beans is on hell’s hot target list.

I know I am, just for the little part I have played in discussing it.

Yes, me too. I never knew the man, but his words speak of a man of great character. He was a healer.

Agree that if it is importantto you to live Gd’s way, then sublimate your desires. But I am libertarian enough to be ok with gays living the way they want (only if they don’t expect others to live their way or grant them special privileges).

You mean raping boys, beating up their "partners"....and proudly spreading AIDS?

That’s an interesting note — what psychologists call sublimation, is simply called learning how to live godly in both Jewish and Christian belief systems. Fine, believers can live despite whatever the world says, but they won’t leave the world alone either. Not if they are believers.

Being spiritual, I do believe there is an X-ray into the situation. Living “gay” is living a life that gets joy to violate what the Lord established. It’s a practice of hate and it has a momentum of hate in other directions. Therefore I might be politically libertarian to a degree (I won’t go police raiding your closets), but I will preach to you about how God sees what is going on there, what effects it is having, and what He wants instead.

I got to agree... there’s no “agreeing to disagree and leaving one another alone” here. We’re filling the air with cheers for A, or cheers for B. And they are polar opposites.

To clarify — I mean on the public level.

Not even the bible wanted the civil law to delve into closets. I think America’s attempt to do that backfired into saying it was okay to turn society into one huge closet.

No, of course not. I just meant living with another same sex person. Of course I don’t condone child molestation, spousal abuse, or knowingly spreading disease. Come on.

Well. that’s what they do.

80% of homos admit to being molested as a kid. That leaves 20% who either won’t admit it, or just thought it looked like fun.

The queer deathstyle is full of visits to the shrink and medical doctors, and the average male lifespan is about 45 years.
