It's starting to look as though Imran Awan and his wife Hina Alvi are making plea deals and incriminating people above them in the food chain. Both of them were I.T. staffers for Democrats in the House of Representatives, earning substantial multiples of customary wages, raising intense suspicions of blackmail.
Ms. Alvi reportedly has already made a deal and will be returning to the U.S. from her native Pakistan, where she earlier fled. Her husband was arrested at Dulles Airport, attempting to do the same. Todd Shepherd reports in the Examiner:

Imran and wife will plea bargain a very weak felony charge, get a small sentence, and this whole thing will be swept under the rug. Who knows if this gets legs, then Debbie is the fall-girl and will be thrashed.
Imran chucked that laptop in the booth as insurance. He probably has insurance somewhere else in case he gets killed. Something tells me that Imran was told to monitor the blackberries of various Democrats to gauge their loyalty to Hillary and the DNC. Remember how Hillary dug through the FBI files to go after the RNC.

On 4/6/2017 at 0021 hours, with the building closed to the public, AOC informed USCP Rayburn offices of an unattended bag in the phone booth on the 2nd floor. The officer received the open-contents visible bag and prepared a found property report. While reviewing the inventory of the bag contents, the officer found:

<><> #3 a copy (front and back) of his congressional ID
<><> #4 an Apple laptop w/ homescreen initials ‘RepDWS’
<><> #5 composition notebooks w/ handwritten notes (‘attorney client privilege’--possibly discussing case details)
<><> #6 loose letters addressed to US Attorney of DC discussing the apparent owner of the bag.

“Imran Awan is a calculating person who made great efforts to cover his tracks, both electronically and physically,” Cong Louie Gohmert (Rep/Texas--a former judge) told The Daily Caller News Foundation.
“Placing that laptop with several of his his personal documents, which may well incriminate him, those he worked for, or both, in the dead of night in a House office building, was a deliberate act by a cunning suspect, and it needs to be investigated, ” Gohmert said.
