New Clinton book blasts Sanders for 'lasting damage' in 2016 race

(CNN) — Hillary Clinton casts Bernie Sanders as an unrealistic over-promiser in her new book, according to excerpts posted by a group of Clinton supporters.

She said that his attacks against her during the primary caused "lasting damage" and paved the way for "(Donald) Trump's 'Crooked Hillary' campaign."

Clinton, in a book that will be released September 12 entitled "What Happened," said Sanders "had to resort to innuendo and impugning my character" because the two Democrats "agreed on so much."

The excerpts represent a small number of the roughly 500-page book in which Clinton reflects on her stunning loss to Donald Trump in 2016. The few pages on Sanders are also remarkably candid for a candidate who was more known for being careful than blunt, especially when it came to the Vermont senator.

A Clinton spokesman declined to comment on the published excerpts.

I just loved Shrillary complaining that Trump was ‘breathing down her neck” & that she felt unsafe.

The woman cannot tell the truth on any level. How has she ever traveled in an elevator? People are far more croweded there...& on the streets of NYC.

All the video even the biased media played over those words showed Trump at least 2 1/2 feet ++ from Shrillary. Even one of my horses when it is excited cannot blow much air that far—and they can put up a good snort when they feel threatened.

Who else might have challenged Clinton in the primary if Sanders declined? Would Democrats really have let Clinton run unchallenged?

Well, that shirtless guy in Maryland and the ex-Republican from Virginia DID run, but they couldn't get any traction with the Dem base.

Of course the Democrats would have let Hillary run unchallenged. There was a period when it was apparent that Obama was considering other options - I believe it was Valerie Jarrett who initially leaked the information about Hillary’s illegal email setup to the NY Times.

Once Hillary gave Obama’s handlers whatever concessions they wanted she was the pre-determined winner. Bernie was just a sparring partner, a hopeless candidate to make it seem like she had some opposition. (Of course Hillary sucked so much as a candidate that they ended up having to steal the nomination from Bernie!) Even after all that we kept being told there was no way Trump could win. I am certain that this is because of the massive fraud that was planned. The reason we kept being fed all those rigged polls was so that we woudn’t question the rigged outcome.

It is only God’s grace that saved us from President Hillary Clinton.

She uses very short, simple sentences, for the most part. Is this a measure of what she thinks of her readers?
