Blacks: Stop believing 'white privilege' is real
wnd.com ^ | 9/1/2017 | Mason Weaver

I graduated from UC Berkeley in 1975 with a BS degree in political science. I studied sociology at Merritt College under Melvin Newton, Huey Newton’s older brother. I have studied black history, Swahili, the African slave trade and understand the racial tensions in America. I understand that the current tension is manufactured, fake and designed to destroy America, not to unite us.

Once again, black people are pawns of other groups. We are the cannon fodder to illuminate their causes while we still suffer. There is no nationwide, deep racial problem in America, but there is a well-funded effort to create one.

Everyday Americans of all colors, economic backgrounds, educational levels and faiths all live and work together. It is only on television that we see the racial strife. We then spend our time apologizing over make-believe issues.

I wrote the book “Tribalism” trying to explain why we continue to allow those who hate us to also lead us. Black people are not intimidated by a flag, statue or monument. Most black people are just like most other people. We are thinking about our jobs, children and grandchildren. Let’s make an agreement. I will judge people of all races by the people I see, meet and talk to every day – if you will do the same.

Liberals are now claiming that bourgeois values are racist and cannot be expected of other groups, which is racist paternalism by liberals.

I support the rich, successful and or skilled people.
Black..white ..or otherwise.
The opposite side of the spectrum are a never ending drain on the kind, body and soul.
Sure help your neighbor..help a stranger..but don’t expect anything good from someone who refuses to help themselves.
The most mind boggling part is it only takes half an effort not to be a drain on everyone else.

It’s funny that my “white privilege” has me paying $100,000 for a state university education for my white daughter who has a 4.6 out of 4.0 GPA. She has black friends with much lower GPA’s who are getting a free ride.

I’m just thankful that my “white privilege” enables me to not only pay for my own kid’s education but also the educations of complete strangers with lower GPA’s....

All anyone has to do is come over here and watch my white boss kick the s*&t right in my white face.... THAT’S some white privilege right there!!

I don’t even have an organization to go and whine to about this stuff!!

That you can/will pay that amount is obviously a display of that good ol’ white privilege you “claim” you ain’t got. LOL!

#14 "It’s not “white privilege”, it’s “Puritan work ethic”. Behavior begets consequences."

Ann Coulter wisely noted that every American should be so grateful that our founders were white Anglo-Saxon protestants, otherwise we would be living in some version of Brazil, Mexico, Venezuela, or Quebec.

With each passing decade, I appreciate more and more our Puritan heritage. Puritan theology is awesome; it tells it like it is, no sugar coating.

There are plenty of examples out there where individuals(black and white) have managed to overcome their "circumstance"...."

Yes. When I retired from a major U.S. corporation, I knew a man with black skin who overcame extreme circumstances.

He was raised by a single mother and ran with a questionable crowd as a teen. When he was 18 he had a brush with the law, and the judge gave him the choice of the army or jail. He wisely chose the army.

He held a TS security clearance in the army, and used that to get a job in security in corporate America upon his discharge. He worked his way into a computer security management job. When I retired from the company five years ago, he was the computer security eastern region manager for that corporation.

Quite an achievement for a black kid raised on the fringe of the Baltimore hood. He essentially taught himself modern computer security.

Had a similar problem with my middle son. Only managed a 4.33 GPA. Girlfriend had a 4.86. Her parents mortgaged everything they had to send her to Georgetown to earn a math degree. My son joined the USMC, served in Kuwait/Iraq and used his benefits to earn a BA in Business Administration. He's made an Ok living as a real estate broker, but really prefers physics. He used what remained of his benefits plus some loans to get a BA in Physics. He cashed in at BA so he could pursue a teaching credential in exchange for steady employment teaching high school math and physics. He really wanted to pursue a PhD in nuclear physics. Ran out of money on the way.

Blacks: Stop believing 'white privilege' is real

Of course it'a real; and unfixable.
That's why it drives the Alt-Left nuts.

Its main beneficial characteristic is a functioning brain...

He could inch his way to it. If you are near a city where a local university has a night program, he could pick up a MS in Physics or a MS in EE (Close to Physics but more employable. It would cover some of the same ground for graduate Physics later.) If he’s not married then its very doable. It’s pretty much what I did. I even managed to find time to play rugby, date my wife, the sleep part became a scarce commodity but somehow I survived.

His girlfriend’s parents mortgaged their house to enable her to get a “BS math degree at Georgetown”. Why? Did she do anything with the math degree other then hang a sheepskin on the wall that said “math degree from Georgetown”? If that’s all it really was a waste of money !Georgetown is NOT a center in this country for mathematics! If it was Princeton I could almost understand. No, not even then go to those places for graduate school!

I’ve worked with some Georgetown grads, none were STEM majors, overall not impressed!

“White Privilege” is a made up phrase designed to stir up jealousy among non Whites who have shit lives because they have made shit decisions.

A rose by any other name may smell as sweet, but calling it “dung” will confuse people. And that’s the point of “white privilege” as a phrase: to demean the ethic, dismissing the hard work and claiming the consequences are unearned. Words have meaning; using “white” makes it a racist issue, “privilege” makes it unfair, severing any religious/worldview reference demotes it to base hedonistic morals. Hence my insistence on “Puritan work ethic”: references a religious basis as superior, emphasizes labor & productivity, and makes it a personal decision/action.

“I will judge people of all races by the people I see, meet and talk to every day – if you will do the same.”

Not the most eloquent way of saying it. I would have said I will judge a person by my personal interactions with him or her.

And it has to start the first day of school, when you are six. Early education is like yeast. That’s the work that really counts, and it has to continue. Asian students know it like their own name.

White Privilege, Critical Race Studies, these have achieved industrial status in academia and a whole lot of people now get paid for spewing their siren call. This bunch isn’t going to go quietly and there isn’t much else they’re intellectually suited for.
