White House: Trump will donate $1 million to Harvey relief
(Excerpt) Read more at hosted.ap.org ...
Wonder if he ran the money through Red Cross [hope not].
What did Obama ever donate? Anything? Didn’t think so. Cheap bastard.
Maybe Hillary can donate the proceeds from her new book and the ‘meet and greets’ that she will be holding to promote the book. OR, better yet, donate the advance the foolish publisher paid her.
Meanwhile obozo is buying a twelve million dollar vacant lot in Martha’s Vineyard
Believe it or not, our local news scum DID report this at 5 pm. Must have taken them by surprise because there was not a hint of snarkiness. Maybe they didn’t get their “Trump is bad, mmmmkay” talking points fax yet.
Omg! That would be awesome!
We need to start a separate thread with “what the media will say” predictions .....
In other news, the Clintons offered to donate their old underwear...
Might turn out to be a big one huh...
How about a list of all the Hollywood celebrities and wealthy insider politicians who’ve yet to donate?
Haven’t heard peep from them including those who are from Texas like Matthew McConaughey and Beyoncé.
Red Cross is ok, unless you have some particular local group to which you want to donate. They were harassed when Elizabeth Dole was in charge, but their practices were no different from those of other major relief organizations...except that she was a GOPer.
They may give money to some things I don’t like, but in a disaster, they’re good. We got hit by Matthew last fall and the Red Cross was out almost immediately, giving out everything from bottles of water (a big need) to info about how to get your house rebuilt.
Beyonce is probably in Havana
The wording of that headline, and story, “White House: Trump blah blah blah...”, makes it sound like Trump is donating taxpayer money, there’s no mention of it being his personal money.
The media sucks.
They must do that every night because they all report and say the same things.
Exactly. Zip, zero, nada.
Trump sets the example, lets see from who follows it.
We donated $50 so far - probably similar impact to Trump’s Million on family finances....
