Hillary Clintons case isnt interesting enough to the public to justify releasing the FBIs files on her, the bureau said this week in rejecting an open-records request by a lawyer seeking to have the former secretary of state punished for perjury.
Ty Clevenger, the lawyer, has been trying to get Mrs. Clinton and her personal lawyers disbarred for their handling of her official emails during her time as secretary of state. Hes met with resistance among lawyers, and now his request for information from the FBIs files has been shot down.
You have not sufficiently demonstrated that the publics interest in disclosure outweighs personal privacy interests of the subject, FBI records management section chief David M. Hardy told Mr. Clevenger in a letter Monday.
It is incumbent upon the requester to provide documentation regarding the publics interest in the operations and activities of the government before records can be processed pursuant to the FOIA, Mr. Hardy wrote.
Mrs. Clinton, is the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee, former chief diplomat, former U.S. senator, and former first lady of both the U.S. and Arkansas.
Conservative watchdog group, Judicial Watch announced that on August 8, 2017, D.C. District Court Judge Amit P. Mehta ordered the State Department to search the state.gov e-mail accounts of Huma Abedin, Cheryl Mills, and Jacob Sullivan for emails relating to the Benghazi scandal.
This is a major victory. The truth will prevail.

The FBI leadership is corrupt.
Sounds like David Harvey needs to get a few thousand emails and letters demonstrating the public’s need to know. Of course, he might ignore those too.
60 MILLION emails from Trump supporters might do the trick!!!
Where’s that swamp creature Sessions? Too busy busting pot smokers?
That’s a novel legal argument!
What a phony excuse. The only people not interested in Hillary’s e-mails are the Democrats in the news media which is a redundancy. So apparently we are supposed to swallow this excuse; “if the news media is not interested, then no one is interested.”
Looks like a bunch of FBI are on the Clinton payroll......
F riends of
B ill and
I llary.................
Drain the f’ing swamp!
This guy apparently never heard the crowds at Trump rallies yelling “lock her up!”....
You are right FBI. We have no interest in seeing the 30,000 emails with nude photos of Huma, but we have great interest in those 3,000 with corruption, bribery, and collusion in them.
If this is their official response, one can just imagine how bad they really are. I mean really really bad. Think about it.
NYPD has a bunch of them from Weiners laptop. They should leak them.
I hope they start an online petition and 40 million voters sign it!
Man, if the press applied that standard, they’d have time to report on actual news.
Due to lack of public interest, we are not going to talk about the shoes Melanie wore to the flood inspection.
Due to lack of public interest, we are not going to talk about Sherrif Joes pardon.
Due to lack of public interest, we are not going to talk about how many scoops of ice cream Trump has.
They missed the millions chanting “lock her up” during election, I guess.
Translation = Intense government interest in keeping their corrupt institutions stocked with loyalists prohibits disclosure of just how corrupt and filthy they can be shown to be if actual records got out. IOW The old people would lose faith in our government if they actually knew what they are up to.
The FBI is totally corrupt. They are the foot soldiers of the Deep State.
This is a place that the country would be well served for POTUS to clean out.
