One of the biggest NASCAR sponsors lobbied to have the event moved. Camping World Chairman and CEO Marcus Lemonis wrote in a letter dated for Tuesday that neither he nor anyone from Camping World would participate in an event at any Trump property "due to recent and ongoing blatantly bigoted and racist comments from Donald Trump in regards to immigrants of the United States."
Trump has made several comments about immigrants while on the campaign trail.
"When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best," Trump said when announcing his candidacy for the Republican nomination last month. "They're sending people that have lots of problems and they're bringing those problems with us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists."
An immigrant from Lebanon, Lemonis has seen success as the owner of Camping World and other businesses. He is the star of the CNBC show "The Profit" where he invests in struggling businesses.
"Our company will not stand to support any person or organization that associates with such beliefs, and we feel strongly about distancing ourselves from any negative and discriminatory comments made against any gender, ethnicity, age group or so forth," Lemonis wrote. "I would hope that the entire NASCAR organization would agree with my sentiments."

Perhaps you're not aware of it, but we blacks view that term as 'the softer N word'. It's been out of favor for over half a century.
The news article is from 2015.
As long as that applies to the "United Negro College Fund" as well ...
That photo looks like it was taken in downtown Beirut.
Last Nascar event I saw had an awful lot of empty seats in the bleachers. I think it was a New Hampshire.
I told them Sayonara when I learned they’d scrubbed all racetracks and facilities of anything that resembled a Confederate flag. And I’m an old redneck Yankee. I have a feeling our Dixie brethren won’t cotton to the idea much, either.
Was that meant as a slapdown or something? I hope not.
I have no control over what that organization calls itself, nor do I care. It's their choice to continue using a label that most blacks find mildly insulting.
For the record, I'm not a racist or a racialist, but I am a realist and a conservative. I've known all my life that pigment is only skin deep. It's only as important as you make it. That's how I was raised, and it's how I've lived my life.
They (CW) bought Gander Mountain/Overton’s too though. Make sure to boycott them too.
Camping World Competition depends on which area you live, just google RV for sale, and city/State, it will show you for that area.
I have left Camping World, goodbye! We paid cash in 2005 for an RV from them, last money they will ever see!
NASCAR will be same, if they abandon President Trump...may as well abandon God, since he put him in office too!
Then NASCAR needs to make that announcement and make it clear, that their support is Trump’s!
You can beat their prices if you shop a little and after what they said about President Trump, I'll never even think about doing biz with them ever.
NASCAR and the NFL are in a headlong rush towards the tar pits.
Nope, no slapdown or anything like it. I just meant it to show that there is a disconnect between what blacks say is demeaning and/or insulting and the words that they actually use ... similar to the use of the "N"-word for rappers.
I said in my first response, that the word 'negro' has been out of favor among blacks for over half a century. Just because some decrepit old liberal org still uses it in their name, means nothing.
I'm merely letting you know how most blacks view that term today.
They won’t. Brian France is just as affected and just as big of an idiot as this guy.
Who the hell wants to see cars go around in circles? I would rather watch a demo derby with Antifa idiots being chased down and run over.
Yeah, watching a race a few weeks ago I noticed the seats were painted different colors, right next to each other.
Watching , the camera panning , you would think the seat was filled. But it was empty. Lots of empty.
