At least 33 people were wounded, 6 fatally, within 13 hours from Saturday to Sunday across the city in separate shootings, which includes an attack that left one man dead and wounded six other people.
On the city's Far South Side, a man was killed and six other people were wounded in a single attack about 2:30 a.m. Sunday in the parking lot of a banquet hall used as a nightclub.
They were all in a large parking lot when a man inside a black SUV opened fire at the crowd, police said. The shooter then drove off.
Six other people were shot during the attack. Police did not immediately have information about each victim's condition or which hospital they were taken to.
A 30-year-old man, a 32-year-old woman and a 33-year-old woman were each shot in the leg, police said. A 32-year-old man was shot in the abdomen. A 31-year-old woman was shot in the left leg, and a 36-year-old man was shot in the buttocks.
In other shootings:
a 17-year-old boy was shot in the right leg about 3:45 a.m.
a 34-year-old woman was shot in the right foot during a drive-by shooting
a 27-year-old man is in critical condition after he was shot about 12:45 a.m.
a 20-year-old man was shot in the head in the 900 block of West 83rd Street

Murderous neighborhoods for Chitown - South side (Englewood primarily) and the West side (i.e., the “best side” Garfield Park and Austin primarily). although there’s plenty of action throughout both the South and West sides. North side is now starting to exhibit some of the same plague as the cops go more into “fetal position” and the gang bangers are emboldened now to roam all over. Bad, and getting worse. Don’t worry though, Obama was going to fix it all, remember?

Forget the statues....Remove the Democrat Party as it is the party of slavery, the KKK and suppression of civil rights. It is the party of the South that created the Civil War.

You are very right John, looks like the more we remove so-called racist items from America, the higher black crime in America rises.
We see Policemen being assassinated by African Americans, African American teens shooting each other at record rates, and almost 70% of all African American babies are aborted before their first breath of air is taken. Seems to me that the problem isn’t America’s white ancestors and their statues, but rather a culture destroyed by modern day Democrat liberalism gone amuck.
Sad, because when I was growing up, the black community was an example of pride as the divorce rate was lower than the white communities, and in most black communities the children had a better education then they are now that white liberals have come to their rescue.
No matter where you look in America, if things are going to hell in a hand-basket, you can track the genesis of the problems directly to some liberal program created to fix injustices. The only problem with those programs is that the final results are always worse then the original problem.
The Black areas in Chicago are the south and west sides.
By an extraordinary coincidence, the killings were all on the south and west sides.

Don’t forget Roseland on the Far South Side and Humboldt Park - both are high crime areas - lots of gangs. I drove on 99th from Western to the i-57 ramp near Halsted last week - the area looked like a war zone. I was ready to run a red light to get out of there.
