Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal was adamant Friday that she isn’t resigning over a Facebook post calling for President Donald Trump’s assassination.
Chappelle-Nadal, a University City Democrat, has faced calls by Missouri’s top Democrats and Republicans demanding she resign from the legislature over a comment she posted on her personal Facebook Thursday: “I hope Trump is assassinated.”
Among those calling for her resignation were the chairman of the Missouri Democratic Party and U.S. Sen. Claire McCaskill.
Chappelle-Nadal deleted the comment and said posting it was a mistake. She said she posted the comment out of frustration with Trump’s statements about recent events in Charlottesville, Va., where an alleged white supremacist drove his car into a crowd near the city’s downtown mall, killing a 32-year-old woman.
But in a series of tweets after the calls from her fellow Democrats to resign, she struck a defiant tone.
Lt. Gov. Mike Parson’s office said Friday that he would call for Chappelle-Nadal’s expulsion from office under Article III, Section 18 of the Missouri Constitution, which allows the Senate to expel a member with a two-thirds vote.

Difference in leadership, Republicans when wrong will resign. Democrats in the face of wrongness, weather it out.
This is not the first time she has done this. Check this out from 2011 so this "lady" has been acting like a nut for a long time.

She won’t have to resign because she’s black and democrat. There’s another standard for when one is black and democrat.
Time to have some fun...the Democrats need to expel her from their caucus or not a single piece of their sponsored legislation makes it to committee hearing.

BEST thing that could happen for us is she is not booted.
Could use her for every ad in next year’s elections.
They could use her quote and that’s all they would need.
Charge her with as many crimes as possible. Proceed and she will be gone soon. Don’t hesitate. These people are in this for the money. Charges of Terroristic Threats, Threatening a Public Official, Conduct unbecoming, etc.. She will laugh until it costs her in legal fees.

Had any Conservative uttered the same words “in frustration” re: Obama, just imagine the outcome. I don’t imagine anyone will bother to recall her since she won’t leave on her own. There must be a way, legally, though they probably won’t be able to meet the legal requirements to do anything legally.

Meanwhile, sale of ammo sales has not decreased, both because it’s gotten cheaper and that there is a new societal threat.
As soon as the heat slacks off, I’m going to a friend’s farm for some shooting. Firing to be conducted from my vehicle, both moving & stopped, both from inside and outside.
I hope the legislature removes her from office if, for no other reason, that they realize, right and left, that some day somebody with some influence and following might be calling for their assassination and some nut might decide to follow through. This woman should resign and be grateful if she does not go to jail, which she certainly deserves.
Call her up on stage and congratulate her for her "courage". Then have her cuffed and frog marched to jail on national TV.
