The left-wing "Antifa" movement is rising in prominence after clashing with white supremacists in Charlottesville, Va., but one progressive scholar says the anti-fascists feed the fire they seek to extinguish.
"As for Antifa, it's a minuscule fringe of the Left, just as its predecessors were," Noam Chomsky told the Washington Examiner. "It's a major gift to the Right, including the militant Right, who are exuberant."
Many activists affiliated with the loosely organized Antifa movement consider themselves anarchists or socialists. They often wear black and take measures to conceal their identity.

Give it another 5-10 years. If it becomes radioactive enough, the Chomskys of the world will call Antifa part of the “right wing”.
That commie bastard is still alive?
Well maybe I am wrong about “not one voice” but I am a bit surprised to find myself agreeing with Naom Chomsky. I don’t like being poked in my axioms.
Don’t care too much for Chomsky, but every once in a while he makes a correct call.
This is one of them.
Thinking US citizens, for the most part, are viscerally opposed to any attacks on free speech.
The commie left, like the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor are awakening the giant.
Check out the promotion for violence in their banner below.

Anarcho-syndicalism
A common Anarcho-Syndicalist flag.
In the early 20th century, anarcho-syndicalism arose as a distinct school of thought within anarchism.[78] With greater focus on the labour movement than previous forms of anarchism, syndicalism posits radical trade unions as a potential force for revolutionary social change, replacing capitalism and the state with a new society, democratically self-managed by the workers.
Anarcho-syndicalists seek to abolish the wage system and private ownership of the means of production, which they believe lead to class divisions. Important principles include workers' solidarity, direct action (such as general strikes and workplace recuperations), and workers' self-management. This is compatible with other branches of anarchism, and anarcho-syndicalists often subscribe to anarchist communist or collectivist anarchist economic systems.[79] Its advocates propose labour organization as a means to create the foundations of a non-hierarchical anarchist society within the current system and bring about social revolution.

Bill Ayers: "I considered myself partly an anarchist then and I consider myself partly an anarchist now. I mean, I'm as much an anarchist as I am a Marxist which is to say I find a lot of the ideas in anarchism appealing."
Ping.
We will see. The deep-state media has been full-court-press on the propaganda since last Saturday on the pre-planned “white nationalist riot” narrative. They are going all out in their controlled media, large and small.
I see that many are not buying it and see it for what it was - a pre-arranged political movement - but what does the full American public think? I’m not sure yet.
The commuist/socialist Left has NO IDEA how many millions of armed patriots, armed to the teeth, are just itching to do them in....once and for all.
My guess is that people like Chomsky have a good idea about just how unpopular AntiFa is -- and just how badly the Democrats in this country are going to fare in future elections for latching onto them. Steve Bannon supposedly said as much within the last few days.
Chomsky’s always been an ahole.
Chomsky means that street action is unnecessary and counterproductive when the Culture War is already being won via courts, MSM, and education. He has no objection to killing people who disagree with him if he believes those who disagree have the upper hand.
Interesting. Naom needs to address how these terrorists are anti-fascist. And just who are the fascist and how so? Also, they are “defensive”? Seriously?
Has the earth’s magnetic field reversed itself?
Antifa is wall to wall in Seattle and Portland.
I expect that in 10 years, they will be everywhere unless something is done.
Unfortunately that may change when Phil Murphy is elected this November.
No.
He’s still an ahole.
He is just afraid of the backlash and compares us regular conservatives to the 4th Reich.
They are losing the propaganda wars.
You got it.
Chomsky has his Blind Squirrel moment, eh?
