A former Union County middle school gym teacher was arrested Monday for a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old student, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said Monday.
Shawnetta D. Reece, 40, of Blairsville, was sexually involved with the student in 2013, the agency said in a news release.
Reece was arrested after the Union County Sheriff’s Office received information on the alleged relationship, and asked the GBI to assist with the investigation.
"The student was moving from the 8th grade into the 9th grade during this time," the news release stated. "As a result of the investigation, Reece has been arrested for child molestation and sexual assault by persons with supervisory or disciplinary authority."

Many if not most boys of that age are little horn dogs, teachers are responsible for keeping them at arm’s length. This teacher is certainly attractive enough to attract attention from kids, and also from grown men.
Why did she need to wreck her life with this boy? Obviously he told someone, perhaps bragging, perhaps complaining. She is crazy. AS you commented, it shows in her eyes. Maybe she’ll use a mental illness defense.
Hilarious! My theory is more about the type of women having the affairs: they are so consistently vey attractive that, to me, it seems clear they are trying to recapture a time in their lives when they were “cool”, and they need teenage boys to remind them of this time.

You make a valid point, but we have artificially extended childhood, and have statutory laws on the books.
I would be for returning to such an age, and substituting trade schools for most colleges, so young men and women could become adults sooner.
