In times past, getting your photograph taken with an elected official such as the vice president of the United States would usually be looked upon with celebration and respect.
But in the vitriolic political climate in todays age of President Donald Trump, one college student is finding out firsthand how reverse the world has become.
McKenzie Deutsch, an incoming junior at Scripps College in Southern California, posted a photo of herself on Facebook standing between Vice President Mike Pence and U.S. Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers, R-Wash., for whom she had served as a congressional intern.
Thats when all hell broke loose as she was pummeled with a nonstop deluge of toxic comments including B-tch.
According to my peers, taking a photo with Vice-President Pence is anything but neutral. In fact, it constitutes direct violence and oppression against marginalized groups, Deutsch wrote in a column for the Claremont Independent.

Wait until the death threats start!
do you mean hillsdale.
Facebook is not your friend.
And neither are the people on it...................
the scary part is that they enjoy being those people who act out and hate.
Political correctness has to be dying. It won’t be quick — won’t happen by Thursday — but the country cannot continue this way.
You can apologize and correct yourself and adjust your vocabulary and bend over backwards, and join in the Leftwing chorus and all of that —
And it will NEVER be enough. All that effort will have been wasted, because at the end of it, you are still an evil, hateful person.
So why even try to be polite? These people should not be tolerated.
She wrote: “””No one seems to remember what their teachers have taught them since Kindergarten: Be respectful of others. Apparently, when it comes to those with whom they disagree, many of my peers are only capable of disrespectful engagement.”””
Yes, then the high school and progressive college teachers got a hold of them.
The filthy left disease of academia.
DOH! Early. Restricted to one cup. You are correct.
LOL! You are correct. Never had it never will. Mrs rktman does and it is a vicious pit of garbage in my view but grand kids...................
Start taking notes, keep records, record and photograph everything you can. You are Going to have One HELL of a Lawsuit against the University for creating and fostering a Hostile Environment and Discrimination when the School refuses to do anything about Terrorism and Bullying..
I think most of the elected Repubs and even some freepers think that if Trump would just step aside and let Pence take over all of this madness will end. Wrong.
I have no idea why anyone would want to be on Facebook at all. To me it's a haven for young skulls full of mush, the permanently lonely, attention-seekers, questionable people with questionable motives..... and those apparently with lots of time on their hands to use unproductively.

If you’re looking for a fight, go on Facebook. If you must go on Facebook keep it simple.
One can say “I should be able to post anythuI want.....free country”. And you would be absolutely 100% correct. But it’s a free country for everyone. And if they decide that you broke some sort of cultural taboo (it could be just about anything in this day and age ). Be prepared to be attacked in print and perhaps in real life.
There was a time where I looked for a fight. I have gotten older and more tired in the past few years....perhaps a bit wiser?..... I will fight to defend my views, but I’m not going rub anyone’s nose in my beliefs in order to start a fight.
If you’re not willing to have to defend yourself......I recommend you stay off of social media.
And Leftists are constantly decrying bullying......when THEY really are the bullies. The one thing that Leftists are really good at is PROJECTION. Calling someone else out for doing things that are, in fact, what the Left is doing........ENOUGH!!
Eventually everyone will be negatively affected by it firsthand
They or their kid gets screwed out of a job or admissions
Or they or someone they love will be victimized by crime.
Once it hits home, people wake up and stop the pandering
Some people spend all day on FB......................
Even scarier - they think *they* are loving, non-evaluative, and accepting. LOL
They're corporate ghettos...
