Kevin Plank, the founder and CEO of Under Armour, has announced that he is stepping down from the White House American Manufacturing Council.
Plank had initially sent out a statement on Charlottesville earlier today:
Under ArmourVerified account @UnderArmour We are saddened by #Charlottesville. There is no place for racism or discrimination in this world. We choose love & unity. - CEO Kevin Plank 7:34 AM - 14 Aug 2017
Following the departure of Merck CEO Kenneth Frazier from the very same council (which led to President Trump criticizing him on Twitter), there were questions about who would drop out next.

Good Lord Trump had nothing to do with Charlottesville. These people are low character freaks.
Who cares. I can’t imagine why they were there to begin with.
As soon as I saw that the company is headquartered in Baltimore I figured the guy is probably looking to sign Colin Kaepernick as a company spokesman.
Wow...these people all have the same response. Somebody is getting to them/threatening them hard.
I was back to school shopping with my grandson at Ross the other day. The racks were full of $6.99 a piece UA.
“Just good-old fashioned capitalism. “
Sure, but pissing on Trump for a false narrative that Trump supports racism is a great way to destroy the company.

Thank you Free Republic!
Wow. I’m glad I didn’t purchase those Under Armor shoes this weekend. I will boycott that brand aling with those Ive alresdy botcotted that differ from my beliefs.
If I were on the board of directors this guy would be out the door for not having any judgment or common sense.
If I were a shareholder I'd be selling quick. Nothing like alienating 50% of your potential market.
This is the best they can do for a CEO?
UA shocking pink pencil sharpeners?
How is an announcement of this minor of magnitude even made public? I have things I have announced that are more important, (like having cold watermelon in the fridge, or having made ice cream), but they never make the national news. If I announced that I was never again buying Under Armor products, which sympathetic leftist media organization should I expect would publicize this on the national news?
WTF is wrong with these people? Trump put anticonfederate flag Nikki Haley at the UN! He has nothing to do with the worshipers of the day of creation or white people cult!
Wtf! Effing Obama cult hypocrite!
Dont they use slave labor in notoriosly racist nations enslaving opposite ethnies?
I am sick of these hypocrite entitled f@gs of the textile industry
Hopefully, worn under armour underwear can be sent to the CEO as a display for sadness over his lack of testicle support.
Hmmm, I kinda like the one UnderArmor shirt I have. Won’t be buying any more of that stuff.
I’m really happy I never bought that high priced crap. Hope to see a going out of business sale soon.
Athletes like Jordan Spieth, who wear UA are now faced with a dilemma, aren’t they?
“This is the best they can do for a CEO”.
He founded the company and owns enough voting stock to control it.
They are afraid of the left.
