SAN DIEGO (AP) -- The only woman in the Navy SEAL training pipeline has dropped out, a Navy special warfare official confirmed Friday.
The female midshipman voluntarily decided to not continue participating in a summer course that's required of officers who want to be selected for SEAL training, Lt. Cmdr. Men and women are different. Women (and most men) can’t become Seals. Men can’t shiite a football.
Men and women are tough, but in different ways.
Just saying.
Good point. She might have been a he.
Men cant shiite a football.
eh?
I assume a reference to birthing.
I heard that another woman is already taking the place of the dropout.
Pop out a kid.
Yes. Each sex has its strength and weaknesses, right? They compliant each other so nicely. Why mess with that?
Hello??!! That SEAL was a GUY turned woman!!!! LOL
Well, after admitting I was wrong I went and looked at really long-distance (100 miles or so) and while the list isn’t exclusively female, there are a lot of women’s names listed. The problem is that on these really long swims, there is usually just the one swimmer making the attempt.
We shouldn’t mess with it. It’s worked quite well for a very long time. :)
Paternal oppressive white male power structure!( I always thought that was a good one.)
To back up a bit. There are jobs in the US Military that women DO out perform men. A friend of mine was a Marine Air Traffic Controller. He said that there was a woman on their team that was just amazing. She was the best he had ever seen. Handling flight paths of incoming/outgoing along with crippled planes that needed special coordination.
Anyway, through her concentration and calm under pressure she, kept her men safe in the air.
Well said.
My women three ways time record was substantially shorter, alas it is something of which I remain proud.
Just keep training. You’ll get there.
Exactly! :-)
A sample of n=1 doesn’t mean anything.
N=1 is quite meaningful when taken in the context of a sample taken of volunteers qualified to take the training.
N= 1= 100%
