Hillary Clinton's pastor compared her defeat to President Trump in the 2016 election to Jesus Christ’s death.
“You, our nation, our world, is experiencing a black Friday," Rev. Bill Shillady wrote to Clinton one day after her loss. "Our hope is that Sunday is coming. But it might well be hell for a while."
He also said “life is filled with a lot of Fridays” and Good Friday “represented the day that everything fell apart.”
“Today, you are experience a Friday. Your Friday is what happened in the last few weeks and last night in the tragic loss. But Sunday is coming!” he continued.
To Christians, Good Friday is the day Jesus's death is commemorated, while Easter Sunday marks His resurrection.
“Friday is finished," Shillady wrote. "Sunday is coming. Death will be shattered. Hope will be restored. But first, we must live through the darkness and seeming hopelessness of Friday."

It is Friday, but Sunday is coming. This is not the devotional I had hoped to write. This is not the devotional you wish to receive this day. While Good Friday may be the starkest representation of a Friday that we have, life is filled with a lot of Fridays.
For the disciples and Christ's followers in the first century, Good Friday represented the day that everything fell apart. All was lost. The momentum and hope of a man claiming to be the Son of God, the Messiah who was supposed to change everything, had been executed.
Even though Jesus told his followers three days later the temple would be restored, they had no idea of what that Sunday would be. They betrayed, denied, mourned, fled and hid. They did just about everything BUT feel good about Friday and their circumstances.
or us, Friday is the phone call from the doctor that the cancer is back. It's the news that you have lost your job. It's the betrayal of a friend, the loss of someone dear. Friday is the day that it all falls apart and all hope is lost. We all have Fridays. But, as the saying goes, "Sunday's coming!"

I’m not surprised. Any “Christian” that is a Hillary supporter probably doesn’t understand Jesus..or Hillary.

I am a Methodist. This is a common analogy for anyone going through dark times no matter what they are....especially under the circumstances. If you pastor isn’t using this, you really need another pastor. Jesus was hailed as a hero on Palm Sunday. A few days later the crowd wants his head. People can turn on a dime. I am sure the folks who were watching those events were crushed when their King was hung on a cross to die.
Of course I believe both events were orchestrated by a loving God for a purpose. I don’t think the pastor is saying Trump is like hell and more than when Trump says the Russians should look for Hillary’s emails that he is colluding with Putin.
No doubt about it, he should not be a Christian Pastor. Hillary’s ruse of being a Christian is her ploy to convince people that she is redeemable while still on this earth. In other words, she setting up a path to be pardoned. There is no truth in her.

Sadly, The Methodist Church, like most “mainstream” churches, lost it’s way a while back. They sold out for money and influence.
Boy, what a stretch. They are trying hard to improve Hilary’s miserable public image. That image comes from many years of deceit, lies, failure to take responsibility, a multitude of character flaws, and just plain playing in the gutter.
It would take a divine miracle to change all of that and I doubt He buys her showboating.
In other words, he's not a Christian in any way. He probably just thinks Jesus was a nice guy.

Shillady has been appointed by Mayor Bill De Blasio as a member of the Mayor’s Faith Leaders Advisory Council for the City of New York.
Shillady also co-officiated with Rabbi James Ponet at the Chelsea Clinton-Marc Mesvinsky wedding in July of 2010. He led the memorial service for Dorothy Rodham, the mother of Hillary Rodham Clinton. He maintains a pastoral relationship with the Clinton family.
It would stand to reason Hillary’s Pastor would be a crackpot. I know I’m going to catch HELL for my remark, but I’m right, and I know it.
This would make some sense, IF he is equating Hillary to Judas.

When Bubba lost the governorship times were simpler. A choir singing experience was sufficient at the local Southern Baptist Church for the spiritual restitution of political viability.
She’s a member of the Church of Satan, as is her “pastor”.
No wonder they’d mourn over the death of Jesus since it was the final nail in Satan’s coffin.
