North Korea has threatened to fire missiles at Guam, a US territory home to thousands of US citizens and a major US Air Force base.
What if the missiles fell short or missed the island?
Whats the big deal? Its just a missile test.
That was the thrust of CNN host Alisyn Camerota statement this morning:
If these missiles, if they do this, and if these go into the waters off Guam, they dont hit Guam, then isnt this just another sort of provocation and a missile test? Does it have to be responded to with force?

This is Kim’s test of whether Trump will blink, like every other American president. He believes all the powers in the area want nothing but status quo and he wants to get paid off for it. Right now, Kim is practicing bravado for the home audience. (If he actually thinks Trump will blink he’s gravely miscalculating).
My bet is that Kim will get into next week and then say, to show his magnanimous, peaceful desires, he decided to not fire the missiles as a gesture of his own greatness.
Go to Congress and declare war. Then level every single public building in North Korea with conventional weapons and keep bombing them into the stone age for at least 4 months until winter takes hold.
Then offer them the opportunity for unconditional surrender.
If they don't go to the UN and ask UN countries to intervene or the US will use nuclear weapons. Through electronic and paper leaflets dropped from bombers notify the public that there will be an unconditional surrender, a change in leadership of the county or it will be turned into nuclear glass.
“it misses Guam its still going to detonate and kill hundreds of thousands of people.
Um, Guam is an island. If it misses Guam from NORK, it aint hitting anything but open ocean.”
Thanks for the Info but since I served in SAC during the 1970’s I’m fully aware of where Guam is Located since SAC launched numerous bombing missions from there on North Vietnam.
Just because Guam is an island doesn’t mean it’s invulnerable to a nuclear strike.even if the strike just misses miles off shore.
The detonation would kill the islands electrical grid or cause a serious tsunami to occurr.Who knows what damage that would cause?
Your scenario has logic inside it. Use the Superpower to show your subjects you are at his level. That this all is a bluff. Let’s hope puffy Kimmy will go there. Anything else is suicide for his country, so I just don’t understand that kind of behavior (and how everyone else, even his generals, are trapped by one family, what are they, the guards at the Wicked Witch’s castle?).
I won't fire one unless he fires one ...
Aye, sir ... fire one!
Just like John Kerry’s “botched joke”. Oh, these leftists...

Treat a nuke test the way you treat a gun. Always loaded. A ballistic missile launch should be treated as a live fire and responded to accordingly.
I have had Arabian horses since 1985.
Horses sometimes kick. Sometimes they miss—sometimes they get you. IF one of my horses kicks for ANY reason when I am their vicinity, they still get reprimanded with a very strong voice. There is no Margin for Error. They can break my leg, and then there is no one to feed them.......
My stallion kicked at me once when someone else distracted him & hit my thigh. He got a loud dressing down verbally & he sure hung his head. HE KNEW he had done wrong. He was trying for days to make it up to me. They are very smart.
Does CNN work hard to find the lowest IQ they can for on the air persons???
I really liked a post yesterday that ws titled:
North Korea Won The Coin Toss-—And They Elected To Receive ......
Then a beautiful pic of one of our long range bombers-maybe a B-52 was there along with various missiles & armament....
We sure do build nice planes.....
North Korea:
About 100 million people.
The size of Indiana.
I don’t think our Air Force will have a problem finding their targets.
All my horses have good ground manners but I still give the grandkids hell for walking behind one of them without proper prep. Don’t want them to think all horses are pets like mine.
“Fat Man”, the 2nd atomic bomb dropped on Japan, missed it’s aim point in Nagasaki yet it still did horrific damage. See the problem, Allyson?
Alisyn.... dumber than a box of rocks but highly qualified to read the script at CNN.
The old ABM systems relied upon a proximity nuclear detonation, rather than a pin-point interception with a shaped charge throwing shrapnel. Wonder how difficult to cobble together an updated version of the old style ABM system???
Camerota doesn’t know that Guam is a US Territory. And that firing into US territorial waters IS AN ACT OF WAR!
Bet she would be talking quite the opposite if her candidate had won.
Yeah, lets send her to Guam and not let her evacuate. I wonder how well she’ll feel with those incoming then?
