North Korea has threatened to fire missiles at Guam, a US territory home to thousands of US citizens and a major US Air Force base.
What if the missiles fell short or missed the island?
What’s the big deal? It’s “just a missile test.”
That was the thrust of CNN host Alisyn Camerota statement this morning:
“If these missiles, if they do this, and if these go into the waters off Guam, they don’t hit Guam, then isn’t this just another sort of provocation and a missile test? Does it have to be responded to with force?”

1. We won’t know prior to launch and during flight if these missiles have a nuclear warhead until it completes it’s mission.
2. That is why we need to try to shoot it down as soon as possible. We can’t afford to wait and see if it kills anyone.

She does raise an interesting point, though. What if they do exactly that; launch a missile towards Guam or some other target for the express purpose of getting us to react? Then, once we wipe them off the face of the Earth and it later gets ‘proven’ that there was no warhead, the Trump and US get excoriated in the world press for being warmongers.
I wonder what Camerota would say if we did that to the NK’s. Probably say something like, “Oh, that would be an act of war. So provocative”.

1. We couldn’t test anti- ballistic missile systems from Guam?
2. Reading Drudge about a “Black Sky Event” would seem to indicate all the Norks need is an EMP capable bomb - no need to be accurate. Of course I have no idea about the technical issues involved.
Hey Alisyn Camerota, if someone takes a pot shot at CNN and misses, just consider it a test. No worries.
This clown could use up our available interceptors with launches of dummy warheads. Perhaps that is what he wants to do. I don’t believe we have a launch on warning order with NK sitting out there.
We would have to shoot down any headed toward any US territory so away go the interceptors. Win win for the commies, one they get to see whether our limited point defense works. Two they get to run out out of defenders if they do. Worse result would be we launch on warning and nuke the SOB starting a nuke WW III.
