Thousands of football fans around the country are threatening to boycott the NFL this season if Colin Kaepernick doesn't end up signing with a team.
The fans are voicing their displeasure with the league through a petition on Change.org. The petition calls for fans to boycott the NFL if "Colin Kaepernick doesn't play this season."
From the petition:
"We understand the NFL is very important to you. We also understand the purpose of Colin Kaepernick's protest is FAR more important than any games you will ever watch. Simply put, if things stay the same for the way America -- where 'all men are created equal' -- treats people of color, then your loved ones, friends, and children will eventually be affected as well."
The petition has been up for nearly two weeks now and has already garnered more than 130,000 signatures. That's 130,000 people who have promised not to "watch any games" or "buy any merchandise."
"If you are appalled by [Kaepernick not signing], then show your power by boycotting the NFL until Kaepernick gets signed to a team," the petition states. "This means to not watch any games, no social media comments about your favorite team before/during/after the games, don't attend the stadiums, and don't buy any merchandise which represents the league or your favorite team.
Kaepernick spent the 2016 season kneeling for the national anthem as a way to protest police brutality and racial injustice, and since becoming a free agent, he hasn't been able to find a team that will hire him.
The quarterback opted out of his contract with the 49ers on March 1, and has only taken one official visit during his three months of free agency (with the Seawhawks). In that same period, several quarterbacks have signed free agent contracts, including Mark Sanchez, Josh McCown, Brian Hoyer, Matt Barkley, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Blaine Gabbert and Case Keenum.
Although Kaepernick was reportedly in contact with the Ravens and Dolphins after Joe Flacco (back) and Ryan Tannehill (knee) went down, neither team brought him in for a workout. Despite the fact that teams have been passing over Kaepernick for lesser quarterbacks, Roger Goodell has insisted that Kaepernick's not being blackballed. Even if he's not technically being blackballed, several owners have admitted that they're taking the opinion of their fans into account when it comes to Kaepernick.
Earlier this offseason, Giants co-owner John Mara said hundreds of fans threatened to boycott the team if the Giants signed Kaepernick. Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti said he would have to talk to fans and sponsors before possibly signing Kaepernick.
Kaepernick's situation has been a black eye for the NFL, and it's something that seems to be coming more of an issue as we inch closer to the start of the regular season.
Besides the Change.org petition, Kaepernick has also received support from Spike Lee.
The director announced this week that he would he holding a rally in Kaepernick's honor at NFL headquarters on Wednesday.
Of that number, most probably think a conversion refers to one of the 57 gender choices. Up-twinkles for effort though.
He is a “professional negro” - not a black person who is professional, but someone who makes his living by being black. Years ago he made a living playing football; now he just plays “black victim”.
'History!' Kaepernick wrote on Instagram Oct. 15 [2015], when he marked 50 years since the Black Panther Party was founded.
Kaepernick has posted 170 photos or videos on his Instagram account in the four years since he created it. Most of his first 128 posts were pics of him in football gear, publicity photos or shots taken with friends.
But 31 of his last 42 posts have strong social justice connotations, often featuring quotes from radical Nation of Islam leader Malcolm X, Black Panthers founder Huey Newton and cop killer Assata Shakur. [aka, JoAnne Chesimard]
During a Sunday news conference about the flag flap, Kaepernick dressed in a black hat with a large, white X and a T-shirt that featured photos of Cuban despot Fidel Castro and Malcolm X.

From the article: REVOLUTIONARY HEROES
"On May 1st, May Day [1969], the day of the gigantic Free Huey rally, two of Alioto's top executioners vamped on the brothers from the Brown Community who were attending to their own affairs. These brothers, who are endowed with the revolutionary spirit of the Black Panther Party defended themselves from the racist pig gestapo [the police].
Pig Joseph Brodnik received his just reward with a big hole in the chest. Pig Paul McGoran got his in the mouth which was not quite enough to off him.
The revolutionary brothers escaped the huge swarm of pigs with dogs, mace, tanks and helicopters, proving once again that "the spirit of the people is greater than the man's technology."
To these brothers the revolutionary people of racist America want to say, by your revolutionary deed you are heroes, and that you are always welcome to our camp."

A Landslide Mandate For Change
A breakthrough election
Congratulations on an extraordinary history making election!
The tears of joy we all shared as crowds gathered to watch the election results here and throughout the world dramatize the new moment we are in.

Change is Here, Change is Coming
Sam Webb, National Chair, Communist Party, USA:
Let me begin with a simple observation: If the last 30 years were an era of reaction, then the coming decade could turn into an era of reform, even radical reform. Six months into the Obama presidency, I would say without hesitation that the landscape, atmosphere, conversation, and agenda have strikingly changed compared to the previous eight years. ..."
All these things are within reach now!

Football rewards males for being male. How much of the protest is really about having only gender neutral sports in the future?
So in essence, those fans have signed a petition to keep that low-life off of their teams.
See how that works, Colin?
More than fed up with this bull crap.
Nfl can kiss my ass.
He’ll have to get a real job. We’ll see have his girlfriend likes him then!
I would suggest that the people signing on to this are not particularly football fans.
Too much living to do to waste so much time in front of the tube.
This should make your day, NFL LOST MILLIONS OVER KAPPER AND ANTI-ANTHEM IDIOTS LIKE HIM, FORBES REPORTS
So this guy is ENTITLED to a job, because he’s black but he can’t even do the job he’s “entitled” to? Screw being the best at that job & sign him anyway? Reality is very elusive to these petition signers.
Man, these people are insane. They need meds and a doctors care. I doubt the NFL is even paying attention to this SJW petition. In the big picture, it is just another temper tantrum. Once they get the brush off, it’s on to the next outrage. I think there’s an outrage list somewhere.
So all the problem causers at NFL games will now boycott the games!
Wonderful news.
Security costs should drop dramatically at the stadiums.
Wonder how many of those names are made up; I’d wager a majority of them are cartoon characters.
I’m willing to bet that of those 130,000 boycotters, 129,999 have never been to an NFL game in their lives, 120,000 do not follow a specific team, and the remaining 10,000 watch an occasional game while recovering from their latest sex reassignment surgery.
Time for a tree and a rope......uppity is not allowed
No effing way. Bob Kraft likes WINNING
Go for it, NFL!! Alienate all patriotic US citizens who enjoy football. Folks defending employees doing what they damn well please when on the job would be so pleased.
Politics aside who would want a QB who went 1-10 last year as a starter? If I was in a fantasy football league and forced to take him I’d quit.
