U.S. to do 'unthinkable' with 50 'homegrown jihadists'

'Nothing has been done or will be done to disabuse them of their sentiment'

News from a Congressional Research Service report that 50 “homegrown violent jihadists” are scheduled to be released in the United States between last January and the end of 2026 raises the obvious question of whether Americans have something to fear.

Among the incarcerated, according to the Bureau of Prisons, are 380 linked to international terrorism and 83 tied to domestic terrorism.

Unfortunately, more attention has been paid to incarcerating the jihadists than to what happens when they complete their sentences, the Associated Press noted in a story on the CRS report.

Robert Spencer, the director of Jihad Watch, said the flaw in the nation’s approach to the global jihad threat is illustrated in how terrorists are classified.

“These jihadis have been treated as criminals, and since their sentences for criminal activity are ending, they are going to be released,” he said.

“But in fact, they are enemy combatants in an ongoing war, and the idea that they should be released onto the streets of the United States should be unthinkable, especially in light of the fact that absolutely nothing has been done or will be done while they’re in prison to disabuse them of their jihadist sentiments,” said Spencer.

WOW!

At least in Britain they try to reform through...

Group therapy

where the convicted terrorists will be able to work on “positive personal goals” and meet together daily to “collaborate on expressing concerns and resolving disagreements”

yep, that will fix the jihadists..

Personally, I say serve them bacon.

Two strips of bacon a day keeps anyone from going full on SJS.

Pass a Megan’s Law that requires them to register their address in a public database. Just like sex offenders.

Then see how many of them are still around in six months time.

LOL..

This is rich..

“Karen Greenberg, director of the Center on National Security at Fordham University’s School of Law, doesn’t think the public should panic. Those released will face months to years of supervision. Phone calls and online communications are monitored. Travel can be restricted. Weekly meetings with counselors can be required.”

“..Those released will face months to years of supervision..”

Yea, and all the jihadist in Britain, France, US, etc., were all being monitored. And yet, somehow, ... murder, mayhem, terrorism... But they were being monitored.

Congress should declare war on jihadis. That would make them spies. Immediate execution.

Do like we do to the sex offenders here in Washington State. They get their mandatory sentence but are held in a special prison for years after that because of the likelihood to re-offend. The legality of it has withstood numerous legal challenges.

Almost all released Gitmo detainees have returned to Jihad as soon as they are released and killled more innocent victims

As we have learned from our Gitmo experience there are three solutions to the Jihadi problem

The first is to release them and allow them to return to terrorism and kill more innocent people

The second. Is to keep them in jail indefinitely

The third is to execute them

The second is to keep them

How many of them are naturalized citizens?

They are in violation of their oath of citizenship. They hold, and have expresses their hatred of our Republic, by their actions. At a minimum these should lose their citizenship, and be deported to their country of origin. There should be further charges of treason.

How many are them are children of naturalized citizen? The parents should be investigated for any expression of allegiance to Shariah Law, that occurred after the date of their oath of citizenship.

A law should be passed that anyone who holds the view that Shariah Law supersedes the US Constitution, will automatically prohibit said person from being taking the oath of naturalization.

Once any naturalized citizen expresses the view that Shariah Law supersedes the Constitution, they are in violation of their naturalization oath.

After all, how do you take an oath to uphold the Constitution, when you believe that Shariah Law supersedes the Constitution.

Brutal or not, the early Japanese had the right idea.

Why house and feed people who more than likely will come back and try to kill you again.

Also, POWs were considered cowards and less than men for surrendering - better die in defense of your ‘mission’ than to raise ones hands in surrender..

Basically the USN POWS were treated ‘better’ by the Japanese NAVY - guess it fell into a sailor is a sailor BUT Japanese fisherman were not ‘fond’ of USN types. Guess ‘we’ were screwing up their livelihood.

obama’s insistence on treating non-uniformed enemy combatants (spies and saboteurs per Hague 1947, and subject to summary execution under that accord) like common criminals bears fruit.

Trump will be blamed for what obama did.
