America has added more than a million jobs since President Trump took office.
The U.S. economy added a strong 209,000 jobs in July, more than economists had expected. The unemployment rate fell to 4.3%, matching a 16-year low. Just after the Great Recession in 2009, unemployment peaked at 10%.
"The economy is looking pretty good," said Cathy Barrera, chief economic adviser at ZipRecruiter, the job posting site.

Wait this was posted on CNN..hold up let me go outside and see if I see any piggies flying
I heard some liberal type say that what we are seeing is residual economic growth due to the policies of Obama.
I k ow how laughable that sounds. Just saying.
Trump is a PRODUCER. The voters will take notice.
The Soros Congressional assassins will get vicious.
They can not have any of this capitalism paying off to the people. They will panic and get dangerous.
Liberals will always lick Obama’s ass and call it ice cream. If Obama were still President and had the same ban on refugees the left would call it brilliant..if Obama enacted the same immigration law that Trump proposed a few days ago the left would say it was brilliant..its just horrible when Trump does it
This must have made them absolutely gag at Communist News Network...love it!
Making America Great Again!
Yes, but how many new hires are LGBT? sarc/
But....but...they’re “McJobs.”
Good point, Ms. Sarah.
It’s called tribalism ... and sometimes, I think that everything that happens in public life is based on tribalism. Forget reasoned debate, such as our Founders sought.
Make America Great Again!
This is the four year jobs growth under each president starting with Jimmy Carter on.
These numbers are reported out in thousands, and I padded the numbers with leading zeros to keep the format clean.
Note, the following (four year) totals ended in the January when the next president was sworn in. That’s why you don’t see the same years as the elections.
10.345 1981 Carter
05.336 1985 Reagan
10.795 1989 Reagan
02.636 1993 Bush
11.575 1997 Clinton
11.327 2001 Clinton
00.089 2005 Bush
01.258 2009 Bush
01.230 2013 Obama
10.258 2017 Obama
Once again, these figures are addressing millions of new jobs.
I have no idea why, but look at those Bush figures, Papa and G.W. Those two guys were literally poison to new jobs.
As for Trump, there have been 1.074 new jobs created under Trump so far. That works out to a 5.9% growth rate extrapolated out to four years. Look at how those 1.074 million new jobs in Trump’s first six months compares to the Bush and Obama years, 2005, 2009, and 2013.
Trump has already beaten Bush’s first term numbers, and is on track to surpass his second term and Obama’s first term numbers in the next month, perhaps two.
Obama’s numbers did pick up in his second term, but he only had a 7.58% jobs growth rate. Traditional numbers from 1961 to 2001, averaged close to 9.75%. Still, there’s no denying that despite Obama’s dumb ass moves, business overcame them to increase jobs.
If Congress would take care of Obamacare, and implement tax cuts, Trump’s numbers would be astounding.
It’s as if they are saying, “Screw you U.S. Citizens, we can’t let Trump keep his promises!”
Trump has the potential to be a massive game changer. They know it. They are doing their absolute worst to stop him from achieving his goals for us.
new jobs ? or positions filled ?
The CNN people may have choked and gagged putting this piece of good news out.
Choke on it CNN.
The economy is what will get Trump re-elected.
Those are the government figures.
Total numbers of jobs reported.
So why has this not happened during his 8 years while he was blaming Bush?
Well, according to the obama apologist I heard, he said all this job growth we see now has been in the pipeline for a couple of years, and businesses were planning their expansions then. And we are seeing the results now.
I know how far fetched that sounds but that is a liberal line on this; that what we are seeing has nothing to do with Trump.
