Later this year — unless President Trump intervenes — the American people will get access to the last of thousands of secret government files about a turning point in the nation’s history: the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
The National Archives this week released several hundred of the documents, which come from CIA and FBI files, and of course, JFK researchers are scrambling to see whether they contain any new clues about the president’s murder. But many more documents remain under seal, awaiting release by this October, the 25-year deadline set by the 1992 Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act.
The law gives only one person — the president — the ability to stop the release from happening. He can act only if he certifies in writing that the documents would somehow endanger national security.

One must be exceeding gullible to buy ANY of the crap the WCR was selling. NOTHING in it holds up to scrutiny. No one has claimed Oswald was stupid but the evidence is that he was quite intelligent. This whole case is as phoney as the Russian collaboration. Nor has government lying just started. LBJ was a notorious liar and so was his Commission.
No witness has described him as panicked after the shooting. He was seen TWO minutes later on the second floor and was described as totally calm, unflustered and breathing normally. He was seen at 12:15 on the first floor where he claimed to have been.
Not only would he have to have been able to fly but he also had to be invisible going from 1-6, accurately fire at least three shots from a PoS rifle and probably four then get back down in 17 minutes. It is a ludicrous scenario.
I do not believe the WCR reported what actually was claimed in testimony of witnesses but it excluded contrary evidence and the FBI browbeat witnesses to say what it wanted said. Marina Oswald was intimidated by threats of deportation so her testimony is not particularly credible particularly that early on. You can trust this report as much as you can a Global Warming study by the government.
You don’t understand how this would have worked. There would not be a large number of people who knew what was planned nor did the FBI, CIA, and the police forces actively plan this killing. However, the “evidence” was twisted into the Lone Nut theory, TWICE in two days.
This was the first massive lie perpetrated on the American people and it was a whopper defying all logic, evidence and criminal investigation methodology.
In fact, there have been admissions of the Mob involvement, Trafficante and Marcello both confessed to confederates that they were involved. Giancana as well. Leave the lies to the Lone Nut Theorists.
LBJ was close to organized crime in Texas so everyone knew who would benefit, all of them. That is exactly what happened. LBJ became president and called off the dogs, removing all eavesdropping equipment and allowing Hoover to resume his blind act.
I have seen Dealey Plaza myself and I have no doubt that untold thousands of individuals with a little practice could make that shot. Then, I believe in Ockham's razor. Plus, how many individuals would have to keep a JFK assassination conspiracy a secret?
It is too ludicrous to consider. I feel sort of sorry for those that cannot work that out in their own minds. Some people watch too much TV and probably think The Bourne Identity was real.
Argue with the Warren Commission whose expert marksmen attempted the shots. None could do it with that rifle at a STATIONARY target.
One would have found throwing a rock more effective than the PoS rifle. It is possible to duplicate the shooting with an decent gun, decent scope, ability (none of which Oswald had) but virtually impossible with the MC even after it had been repaired. A BB gun was probably more accurate than that garbage.
Oswald had to go from the first floor to the sixth floor, assemble the gun, build the snipers nest, shoot accurately, hide the rifle and get back down in SEVENTEEN minutes without being winded. Oswald would have had to be able to fly and become invisible for that to have happened. But believing that is not too unbelievable for one who believes the WCR.

Oswald’s record clearly show that he had become a worse shot as his enlistment went on barely qualifying for the minimum rating. And that was with an excellent rifle properly sighted, practice and not allegedly taken from state to state without being in a gun case.
Fifty plus yards is not an easy pistol shot either not without a lot of practice.
Nor am I aware that anyone outside the Marines ever saw him practice.

If Oswald had smuggled the rifle in in a long package and said it was curtain rods, could the rifle have already been assembled?
Indeed, a couple of random worms, Charles Guiteau and Leon Czolgosz changed American history when they killed Presidents Garfield and McKinley. No one has claimed that these presidents were victims of some vast conspiracy.
The shots from sixth floor may have been easy, but the video shows he was also shot from the front. And Oswald was silenced by a hit man. So more than Oswald alone was involved in the assassination
It is funny how evidence pointing to Oswald’s guilt is accepted while that pointing away from it is far more reliable but rejected. Witnesses with contrary evidence are ignored, distorted or much worse. Had the paraffin tests shown that he had fired a rifle, my guess is it would be accepted by the Lone Nut Brigade as absolute proof.
The WCR is a BIG LIE commissioned to hide the truth at the demand of LBJ who should have been the prime suspect.
There are three admissions by the mob chieftains involved that it was their conspiracy. Johnny Roselle was another heavily involved and the liaison with the CIA.
When he was about to testify to the House investigation, he wound up chopped to pieces in an oil drum off Trafficanteland. Funny how these witnesses conveniently die when things get too hot.
My education has prepared me for critical thinking something you should try rather than swallow government swill. Propaganda from the Johnson administration is not proof of anything.
The LOGICAL thing for an assassin to do is stay in the building not making himself a suspect. However, what if a phone call directed him to leave? It makes no sense for him to spontaneously decide to leave.

Questioning the Warren Commission is indeed a “heresy”.
Only religious faith could make a reasonable person believe it. Faith that the government would never deceive us.
Most of us have read Posner. It in no way closes this case and, like everyone else, gives no MOTIVE for LHO killing JFK. Nor does it answer any fundamental questions. Just another Establishment whitewash.
