Katie Couric and Yahoo News parted ways on Friday after four years of Couric serving as the organization's global news anchor.
Couric's headlining interview show for Yahoo News has been canceled. Her $10 million contract ended in March 2017 and was renewed through June. Couric will continue working with Yahoo News and its corporate parent Oath on a project-by-project basis.

Couric's four-year tenure was marred by criticism she received in the wake of revelations she and her fellow filmmakers deceptively edited an interview with gun rights activists in their 2016 Under the Gun film. In that film, a group of activists with the Virginia Citizens Defense League are shown sitting in silence for nine seconds following a question from Couric about terrorism and background checks. However, raw audio obtained by the Washington Free Beacon shows several of the activists immediately responded to Couric's question.
Couric and the film's director later admitted to editing in the silence and apologized "if anyone felt" the deceptive edit made them look bad.
A second Couric film, 2014's Fed Up, faced accusations of similar deceptive editing soon after.

IBD is hardly never trump.
so yahoo didn’t renew her $10 million podcast ...
What? $10 million? For what? I would be willing to bet that more than 70% of the literate adults in America could do what she does.
It’s the home page for people with Windows 95 computers who never learned to change it.
Me-gain and Katie both having trouble.
The world is sick of listening to theses pre-MAGA Lefties. The public is tired of hearing Russia, Russia, Russia. And the networks are feeling the loss of audiences that are bored of their tired stories.
We have social media now. I’ve been listening to Bill Mitchell on Internet TV and it’s very satisfying commentary he has with various intelligent and great talker friends.
I’m not listening to Rush very much, which means I get ditch ads for Life Lock, and Window Blinds, and commentary that starts a dialogue and turns into ads every 5 to minutes. Ads, ads, ads.
I’m breaking that cycle. So far, Bill Mitchell’s previous day’s conversations are good stuff indeed. A 30 minute walk for exercise and listening to smart MAGA conversation without commercial interruption is very satisfying.
Don’t think I’ll listen much to Savage anymore. He’s too negative and angry. Mitchell and his guests are positive, fun, and entertaining.
Two worthless Libtard cunts ousted on the same day. More winning!
[IBD is hardly never trump.]
Maybe they’ve changed their tune but their dealing joining up with super-duper uber-liberal Trump-hating Yahoo makes me more than a bit suspicious.

Leading GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump has made it clear that, when it comes to China, hes very much in sync with socialist Democrat Bernie Sanders. [snip]
But no matter, since theyre both wrong, as an in-depth piece in the New Yorker makes pretty clear.

For a person who claims to be an incredible businessman, Donald Trump sometimes seems to have difficulty handling simple addition and subtraction.

Elections: Donald Trump has been on a tirade about Colorados delegate selection rules this year, saying that voters there were cheated. But Trump never complained when other states rules worked in his favor.
Dude! I LIKE my WIN95 OSR2,, if only USB and wireless had existed when I bought it. Now its junk.. but makes neat sound effects.
Katie will still be doing some stuff for now,, special stuff,, Verizon must still be digesting its business plan ,, She’s 60.. man, time for her to pull the curtain.
The last time I heard about perky was when she had a daytime talk show. I knew nothing of this Yahoo gig and frankly don’t care anymore. The days of “important” msm people are numbered anyway. How many of us here can name all the current evening news anchors for the alphabets?
I preferred 98 myself. At bit more stable. Especially since I was writing Windows software back in those days.
Most news sites have written negative articles on just about everyone and IBD is definitely a free trader mag, but most of their stuff has been positive for trump. I’m sure the stuff that hits yahoo is mostly their anti trump stuff but their editorial overall is supportive
How does this bimbo rate anything more than the minimus wage?
Katie Couric has long since passed beyond being perky. I would describe her now as “spry”.
so many OSes, so few days before they expire,,
Never forget the first day I saw WIN 1.0, followed shortly by 2.0 and 3.0.. I spent a lot of time in UNIX and SUN boxes too.
I started developing Win stuff around 3.0 - 3.1 - 3.1 was fairly stable.
95 hurt us - along with the tool
By 98 the OS and the tool were pretty stable - really like SR2 98 - still have the machines (I think).
NT 3.5.1 was a problem but 4.0 was fairly stable.
Ah, the good old days. Before we heard “Barack Hussein Obama”.
“Perkie Purge!”
I believe Rosie O’Donuts is available.
