Becoming disabled by choice... 'Transabled' people feel like impostors in their fully working bodies

When he cut off his right arm with a “very sharp power tool,” a man who now calls himself One Hand Jason let everyone believe it was an accident.

But he had for months tried different means of cutting and crushing the limb that never quite felt like his own, training himself on first aid so he wouldn’t bleed to death, even practicing on animal parts sourced from a butcher.

“My goal was to get the job done with no hope of reconstruction or re-attachment, and I wanted some method that I could actually bring myself to do,” he told the body modification website ModBlog.

His goal was to become disabled.

People like Jason have been classified as ‘‘transabled’’ — feeling like imposters in their bodies, their arms and legs in full working order.

“We define transability as the desire or the need for a person identified as able-bodied by other people to transform his or her body to obtain a physical impairment,” says Alexandre Baril, a Quebec born academic who will present on “transability” at this week’s Congress of the Social Sciences and Humanities at the University of Ottawa.

“The person could want to become deaf, blind, amputee, paraplegic. It’s a really, really strong desire.”

Researchers in Canada are trying to better understand how transabled people think and feel. Clive Baldwin, a Canada Research Chair in Narrative Studies who teaches social work at St. Thomas University in Fredericton, N.B., has interviewed 37 people worldwide who identify as transabled.

There is no depth the mentally ill will not go to try and prove their saneness. And the lunatic left will tell us these ill people are just empowering themselves. They are as sick as the mutilators. And both are so wracked with self hate that suicide may be the only relief for them.

In several books on demonic obsession and possession that I have read, "transgenderism" and "body modification" are persistent themes and areas where demons delight in destroying the beauty that God made in people, in His image.

Demons always have one or more traits that emphasize the specific sin they represent and pressure humans who have allowed them in to engage in.

It could be Jealousy, Greed, Spite, Lust, or others. Some demons are named for these, other demons have a name for their function, such as Controller or Fear. Other demons are named for their vile traits, such as Gurgler.

Malachi Martin's book "Hostage to the Devil" had an entire chapter of a case where a demon named Girl-Fixer enticed a man to first be a homosexual, and then to undergo a sex change operation, and this was over 45 years ago, when the practice was very rare.

It is a very well written and incredible book. I would not, however, read it alone on a story night.

Today, these horrific maladies are a "Civil Right."

Satan is making incredible "progress."

All of this tells me that humanity is getting very close to the End of Days, and the events of the Book of Revelation will soon become terrifying reality, rather than a concept that presently most people give little credence.

#21 Brilliant and insightful post that nails the truth people work so hard to deny. Some time ago the same realization hit me. Even per yesterday my comment on mccain was "They got the tumor, but left the demons." We truly believe that this is a major influence on the horrors we see people engage it. Demons do walk the earth.

It is the only explanation I can embrace given some people's ability to engage in certain behaviors and actions while knowingly disregarding the horrific consequences of their actions. I have to imagine if we had glasses we could wear similar to those in "They live" that much of DC would look like a scene from hell.

Weird. I read of similar cases many years ago. I forgot the plastic surgeons name but he was convicted in California of homicide when one of those patients died and iirc died in prison. He used to hold or appear on live shows with some of his patients.

Long recognized by psychiatry and psychology is the understanding that the mind is capable of lying, inventing a “reality” in the mind that in fact does not exist. The worst examples fall into various mental problems in the identity dysphoria spectrum. And yes it includes the persons who are in the “transgender” category. What they needed as a child is large, strong but compassionate doses of professional help, not resignation and “acceptance” from parents.
