The top 25 politicians in Conservative Review’s Top 25 RINOs (Republican in name only) are determined by CR editors using a points system. A politician who receives a first-place vote is assigned 25 points, second-place votes receive 24 points, and so on.

I wonder the Republican Party has become the socialist party auxilary with we and those in Congress who believe in freedom and limited government as the RINOs. I know I would dump the GOP in a second if I found a real alternative.

There is also a link to the top 25 conservatives. Mark Sanford is on that list in the 17th position. If he is one of the best conservatives at number 17, we are in trouble.
I don’t know which is worse, Mark Sanford for pulling the wool over people’s eyes, or Conservative Review for giving him the 17th highest place for conservatives.
Sanford WAS a great Conservative during his first stint in Congress. He has no reason to be back in Congress today, it only was a stunt to see if he could get his old seat back. Mission accomplished, now please retire next year.
I know there was a time when Sanford was a conservative, but that time was long ago. A failed time as governor with massive lying and a South American tryst has come between him and conservatism since that day. He has no business being on anyone’s conservative list now. He should leave office and take Ms. Lindsay with him. I hope both of them may be blessed with all they deserve.

My concern is that he covets Linda’s Senate seat and may try to get it in 2020. We know President Trump will be pushing hard to remove Linda that year (the downside is the disappointing RINO ex-Gov and now-UN Amb. Nikki Haley might be the one he tries to recruit. As a devout Willardbot, she’s demonstrably worse than Sanford).
This list is stupid, Ryan? Please. McConnell at 6? GMAB. Not sure what’s it based on (”votes” of whom, morons?) since they’re own liberty score has COLLINS as the worst RINO and she is, without question (and a b word to boot). And RINO loser Justin Amash is a top conservative? LOL. And Sasse on the list, his voting record is good but with the garbage coming out of his mouth who the hell voted for him? And Sanford? What?
Sanford was a good Governor, Waryone, he fought the RINO scum in the legislature. And I couldn’t care less about his adultery, half of them do it, he just got caught.
But he’s gone off the rails, don’t want him in the Senate.
I don’t know why you would say Haley is worse, DJ, certainly not because she endorsed Romney in an election where no one else worth a damn ran either, who gives a damn about that?
I’d much rather see her in the Senate than Sanford. He’s the one been attacking the President lately while she is serving loyally and getting high marks at that.

Sasse and Amash are top conservatives? The word conservative has absolutely no value for me.
For a moment there, I was worried that one of my senators, “Big Bad John” Cornyn (AKA “Cornhole”) wasn’t on the list. But there he was, where he belongs at #14.
And Mississippi’s Thad Cochran is right where he belongs, in the Top 5.
I don’t care for either of them. Sanford may have seemed like a good governor fighting RINOs back then, but he’s turned right around and joined them now. I have no sympathy for turncoats.
Nikki Haley is Mitt’s girl and cannot be trusted. Nikki, Bobby Jindal and Ted Cruz seem to think they can magically claim to be natural born citizens because they “deem” it so. Putting their desires for power ahead of the Constitution means they lack the understanding to properly serve this country. South Carolina is a disaster. You’d think they would be able to do better.
Jindal and Haley were born in the US to legal resident parents, there is no question that they ARE natural born citizens, none. You’d be laughed out of court.
So is Cruz, whether born on Canada or the moon he was a citizen at birth because he’s mother was. Natural born (meaning citizen at birth like Cruz) and naturalized, 2 kinds of citizens, that is all.
Not that it matters vis-a-vis a Haley Senate bid because that office has no such requirement, only President and VP. Not sure why would castigate her at all since she has yet to run for President over birther objections.
Anyway, sure you could find someone better than her but I’d say she’s much preferable to Graham (whom she’d dispatch with ease with the President’s backing) , and I’d prefer her to Sanford as well.
And again, I don’t know why she’s “Romney’s girl” just because she endorsed him in the 2012 primary, 100s of elected officials did, it was a crappy field of candidates.
