On Marylands Eastern Shore, rising seawater levels and chronic flooding threaten to disrupt daily life, damage homes and businesses, and swallow land in the relatively near future, according to a new study. For some parts of the Eastern Shore, there soon may be no more there there.
Thats the takeaway from a report released Wednesday by the Union of Concerned Scientists. The study, When Rising Seas Hit Home: Hard Choices Ahead for Hundreds of U.S. Coastal Communities, looks at the impact rising sea levels caused by global warming will have on coastal regions across the country.
Maryland, with 3,100 miles of tidal shore along the Atlantic Ocean and Chesapeake Bay, will be particularly hard hit, according to the study. Only Louisiana has more locations that will be affected as severely.

Say, Joe, can you hear the country laughing at you?
A guy called Rush last month or so. he lives on the shore of Long Island, NY. their grass is about a foot off the high tide point. His family has owned the house for 150 years and the sea level has always been the same. There is no rise.
Fake news.
Oooooh! A NATIONAL study! That’s like a Major Award!
A National Study is like “sources say...”

We all “know” that sea levels are going to rise due to Global Warming. Oops, make that “due to Climate Change”.
Gosh, everybody knows that. Although unproven by science it has something even better going for it: 97% of scientists who make their living writing articles about human caused climate change agree its true. Even Einstein and Newton couldn’t do better than that.
So we know about the future. What about the past? Have sea levels actually been rising?
LOL! Bezos wants me to pay him to publicize the Union of Scientists Concerned About Getting More Funding.
When Bangladesh goes under, take another look. Until then, relax.
And in other news the chocolate ration will be rising from the current 48 grams to 28 grams per week.
Citizens take note. Rejoicing is mandatory.
Bingo! and even more importantly ... nowhere in the article does it state how much the sea level has risen in the past 10 years or so.
Hang on! Is this the report done in 1975 or the one just completed?
Head for the hills!
After being low the water levels in Lake Michigan are again high. I’m 12 miles away look forward to my beach front
