WH Communications Director After Sandy Hook: ‘I Have Always Been for Strong Gun Control Laws
breitbart.com ^ | 7/21/2017 | AWR Hawkins

Newly appointed White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci is on the record expressing his support for “strong gun control laws.”

On December 15, 2012, the day after the heinous attack on Sandy Hook Elementary, Scaramucci tweeted:

@laurasgoldman I don't support that legislation, never had, I have always been for strong gun control laws.

— Anthony Scaramucci (@Scaramucci) December 15, 2012

And for those who might excuse such a statement as being a result of the emotion which overwhelmed so many Americans after Sandy Hook, consider the fact that Scaramucci also voiced support for gun control months before Sandy Hook occurred:

We (the USA) has 5% of the world's population but 50% of the world's guns. Enough is enough. It is just common sense it apply more controls

— Anthony Scaramucci (@Scaramucci) August 6, 2012

No amount of gun control could have prevented Sandy Hook. The gunman stole the guns he used in the attack and the person from whom he stole them had passed background checks and gone through all lawful channels to acquire them.

Moreover, the large number of guns owned in America has correlated with a declining murder rate. Breitbart News reported that there were 192 million privately owned guns in America in 1994. By 2009 the number of privately owned guns jumped to 310 million. During this same time, the Congressional Research Service noted that the murder rate fell from 6.6 per 100,000 in 1993 to 3.9 per 100,000 in 2006 and 2007. It fell to 3.2 in 2011.

Guns are not the problem.

Hmmmm. Not really liking a wind sock for this spot. Seems like he changes his view/position as needed to suit his needs. What was his position after sandy hook? Everyday citizen? Why did he feel a need to comment publicly? Scaramucc(i), can you do the fandango? As AWR Hawkins say, "Guns are not the problem." Correct. With 300+ million guns and over a billion rounds of ammo out there, if they were a problem, it would be pretty evident by now. It's attitudes like 'scare a moochie's' that are a problem.

I don’t care what the plumber thinks about the issues as long as my toilet works.

Depends on how much influence Scarramooch is given, in the Trump administration on the firearms issue.

*************************************************************

This guy was hired to do a JOB. Staunchly defend the president and carry forth his message/agenda. It’s a JOB same as it was when he worked for a Liberal. It’s all about performance and if he performs well he stays. If he does not he goes.

He may believe gun control is good but he will say nothing about this from now on. When asked about his past in this area (and other) he will say he has evolved and now believes differently.

All that matters are results....period.

What the heck is wrong with you? What difference does it make? Only liberals have a purity test and can’t stand up for their values so they shut up anyone with a dissenting opinion.

Good grief, you belong at Berkeley with the other snowflakes

A communications director is supposed to be a wind sock, not a policy maker. If he can support Trump’s positions 100% and fight the media to get it out there effectively, then I don’t care what his personal views are.

It's starting to sound like he is trustworthy compared to the all of the other connivers in the administration. I believe we will know a lot more today.

I guess as opposed to not being for any gun control laws? This is another mental masturbation to discredit somebody who is 1000% behind our president. He represents the kind of people Trump should have around him. His energy his intelligence his aggressive Ness his loyalty. Every Buddy on the staff including people like sessions and the others should take this guy’s lead.

I’m sure we all recall the “Best of DJT” regarding a range of issues yet here he is, the only president in my lifetime battling the political left daily.

he conveniently deleted his posts to hide these truths. Why, if he is just a plumber? A plumber would have left his posts up and shrugged it off. He is part of the swamp, adept at hiding the truth. John Kerry, approved. Lol Trump could pick whoopi and people would applaud.
Truth is, he deleted his posts to hide the truth. That’s a bad start.

He needed this job for tax reasons due to the sale of his company. He is over qualified. I doubt he stays in it a year. Trump would have screwed him out of millions if he didnt get a gig by irs deadlines

He supports gay marriage, climate change, and gun control.

Lets see what job he gets next in the admin
