WASHINGTON — President Trump’s lawyers and aides are scouring the professional and political backgrounds of investigators hired by the special counsel Robert S. Mueller III, looking for conflicts of interest they could use to discredit the investigation — or even build a case to fire Mr. Mueller or get some members of his team recused, according to three people with knowledge of the research effort.
The search for potential conflicts is wide-ranging. It includes scrutinizing donations to Democratic candidates, investigators’ past clients and Mr. Mueller’s relationship with James B. Comey, whose firing as F.B.I. director is part of the special counsel’s investigation.
The effort to investigate the investigators is another sign of a looming showdown between Mr. Trump and Mr. Mueller, who has assembled a team of high-powered prosecutors and agents to examine whether any of Mr. Trump’s advisers aided Russia’s campaign to disrupt last year’s presidential election.

The main purpose of these investigations against Trump is not only to bring him down but to stymie his agenda....he can’t function 100% as president with a fishing expedition going on....he needs to clear this up by going at it full speed ahead first and then he can have a chance to work more effectively
Trump adminstration now controls the CIA and FBI throttles. Mueller will wilt in the face of what’s about to happen.
It helps if you are guilty, but with our criminal justice system guilt is not required for conviction.
It certainly is helpful that Trump can fund a very good defense and maybe even an offense. Mueller seems dirty to me, entirely to close to Comey. I've been a defender of Session but his decision to recuse was horrible. Just horribly stupid, he better get control over his Justice Department.

Once - or rather if - he cleans out all the OBunghole moles, plants, sleeper cells and leave-behinds, then yes, I agree.
If he doesn’t, then nothing will change.
Firing that feckless Democrat puke Comey was good start, but it should have been done on Day +1.
Along with the immediate firing of every single OBunghole appointee and affirmative action hire.
And he should have gone after the Hillary/Podesta/Lynch Crime syndicate immediately as well.
