More than a year after a mandate for the Pentagon opened previously closed ground combat and special operations jobs to women, officials say the Navy has its first female candidates for its most elite special warfare roles.
Two women were in boot camp as candidates for the Navy's all-enlisted Special Warfare Combatant-Craft Crewman program, Naval Special Warfare Center Deputy Commander Capt. Christian Dunbar told members of the Defense Advisory Committee on Women in the Service in June.
Another woman, who sources say is a junior in an ROTC program at an unnamed college, has applied for a spot in the SEAL officer selection process for fiscal 2018, which begins Oct. 1, and is set to complete an early step in the pipeline, special operations assessment and selection, later this summer, he said.
"That's a three-week block of instruction," Dunbar said. "Then the [prospective SEAL officer] will compete like everyone else, 160 [applicants] for only 100 spots."

"In October, a SWCC petty officer notified their chain-of-command that they identified as being transgender, Salata confirmed to Military.com."
XX, XY, Other - which is it?
Let us begin restoring sanity with a basic lesson in Human reproductive biology:
XX + XX = FAIL
XY + XY = FAIL
XX + XY = Human
All you need to do is watch “Cops” on tv to see that women do not have the muscle strength of men. I laugh a lot at them as the perps throw them around when they are resisting. Then the men police come in and save them!!!!
As a women, it’s ridiculous to think that women can do the heavy work that men can do!
A few SEAL deaths is a small price to pay for diversity.
So they’ll lower the standards and the collective quality and fighting efficiency of the Seals drop...but that’s OK because it’s all in the name of “diversity”.
Read “Indian Country” by Kurt Schlichter to find out what it will be like.

I’m with you,but I mentioned this at the dinner table one Easter and you should have seen the looks that I got from my middle aged daughters and daughters-in-law.
I just laughed.
.
These are just the crews that man the small boats that transport the Seals. They won’t be going to BUDs.
Mr. President, it’s past time to take care of this malignant nonsense.
As a women, XX its ridiculous to think that XX can do the heavy work that XY can do!
Evidently dumping the "pronouns" and replacing with hard cold genetic/chromosomal fact is what's going to be required to purge the LGBTQBS from the bilge.
Imagine the extra milage an enemy would gain if they captured a "transgender" whatever to hoist up on display.

Clusterfrack, Demoralized; 1 each.
That is what I thought. Boat squadrons are part of special warfare command, but not the same as SEALS, That is what I have been told by sailors.
I the Navy is like the Army and Ranger School, they are guaranteed to pass no matter how many times they have to recycle or how long their training takes.
Most female cops flitter around the edges of a fight while the guys jump right into the middle of it. The women grab at feet, etc but almost never pile on the fight. They are there to punch a diversity ticket, not to do police work.
My greatest disappointment as a retired Army Officer is that Trump has not lifted a finger to roll back the horrible social experiments Obama put into the military.
*If
True. Navy gunboat crews would transport and extract Seals in Vietnam. There are too few Seals to have them doing logistics and support.
Female Army “Rangers” are a fraud forced on the Army by the Obama White House. Commanders at Ft Benning knew those women better get their tabs or heads would roll. The oldest woman was 38 and is called Mommy Ranger by troops who know she and the others are frauds. I hope the Navy does not force the same thing on themselves.
Navy ditto.
