If you really think about it, single payer has probably been inevitable since the creation of Medicare.

Don’t disagree but it’s clear they aren’t going to zero replacement. Repeal gives more power to minimalists. This gets more to zero and they have to negotiate to add stuff

Wow. I wonder how long it takes these guys to zip their own flies after peeing - an hour or two?

You can't wait for a replace?

More than a few on this thread still seem to think that Obama-care is going someplace,

If true, this is wonderful. Was my preference from the start, including the 2-year delay. Puts the election in the middle.

What's the plan during the 2 year delay? Does Obamacare continue unchanged?

I pray REPEAL is true. Straight Repeal. Get Government out of my health care!!!

Even if they give a time frame for replace (which they do not need) it makes the 'gubmint' gone from my life for that much more time, during which I will work to keep it permanent.

The principle will be Obamacare continues on its current trajectory of killing the insurance industry and paving the way for single payer, as designed.

The full repeal bill will be deader than dead - probably get votes in the low 40’s. The Cruz Amendment would have gutted Obamacare and given people real insurance options, but it wasn’t a technical full repeal. So, liberals and trucons find themselves celebrating separately but together tonight.

The Senate should I Obamacare and then should stay out of health care. Ever since the government got involved, it has become a bloated, unaffordable mess.
We grew up paying cash for our medical bills, affordable for a family of seven in the ‘50s. As soon as the government stuck its nose in Medicare & Mediaid, costs went out of sight and fraud exploded costing more billions of tax dollars. Enough.

It is time for Trump to call McConnel into the Oval Office and explain that he either moves legislation TODAY or Trump will replace him. Trump is the head of the Republican party. He can replace the leaders in the House and Senate.

Yeah right. Frankly there is no one challenging either leader in Congress so McConnell and Ryan are going nowhere. The problem is deeper than which particular RINO is leading the Senate or the House and conservatives are nowhere to be found in mounting a leadership challenge.

What Trump can do however is show us how great a wheeler/dealer he is in persuading Senators to get on board the RINOCare / ObamaCare Lite bill.
