Trump Says "Something Could Happen" On Climate Accord.

President Donald Trump held the door open to a reversal of his decision to pull the United States out of the Paris climate accord on Thursday, but did not say what he would need in return to persuade him to do so.

Trump, who has made few friends in Europe with his rejection of the 2015 Paris agreement and his “America First” trade stance, met with French President Emmanuel Macron as both leaders sought common ground to reset an awkward relationship.

“Something could happen with respect to the Paris accords, let’s see what happens,” Trump told a news conference. “If it happens, that will be wonderful, and if it doesn’t, that’ll be OK too.”

Trump has said the Paris accord is soft on leading polluters like China and India, putting U.S. industry at risk.

“I respect the wish to preserve jobs, I think that’s compatible with the Paris accord,” Macron said at the joint conference.

“There is no sudden and unexpected change today, otherwise we would have announced it, but there is the shared intention to continue discussing these issues,” the French president added.

Here we have the whole purpose of Macron's invitation and it also reveals the EU's new good cop/bad cop climate hoax strategy.

Merkel and the rest will mock, shun, demonize and isolate Trump. This will hurt his feelings because he has a powerful need to be liked. Bad cops.

Then Macron will act like he's Trump's bff. Cozy up to him. Fill him full of compliments and make him feel welcome and needed. Stroke his ego. Good cop.

And of course new bff Macron will also constantly harp on his buddy to recommit the US to the global climate scam!

I think they underestimate President Trump if they truly believe he is of the pitifully weak character this strategy requires. In fact, it's insulting.

On the other hand, when Trump says things like "something could happen" and tweets that the "friendship" between him and Macron is "unbreakable", I get very nervous.

Haven’t you ever agreed with someone just to get them to shut up without really meaning it?

This is a replay of his “leaked” conversation on Climate Change with Pinch and the other drooling editors of the NYTs.

Gave them hope, until he got out of the building.

Yeah here’s the deal. The rest of the Globull Warming clowns pay us Trillions $$ for new windmills and solar panels instead of us paying them.

I'm not nervous. He knows capitalism will do it's work. No need to shake the money tree further....which is all the Paris Accord is. Absolutely no reason for its' existence.

No need for the G20 either. It only started in 1999.

Our economy is finally getting ready to really take off and the credit goes to President Trump.

I would be shocked if he destroyed all this budding success for the American people by recommitting us to a global shakedown/hustle just so a little weasel like Macron will say nice things to him.

As I said earlier, it would be stupid. He’d be stabbing his base in the back for liberals who will always hate him and never vote for him.

You are correct, though, in that I had read that one of the reasons Macron wanted Trump to come to France was to pressure him on climate change.

Of course. It is also politically appropriate at least to sound agreeable with your host, even if only just for the record. Means nothing has changed.

Who gives a damn about climate change. While Trump is visiting overseas his Administrative empire is collapsing. I thought President Trump would be a real fighter, but the opposite. None of the communists Democrats are in jail. But they sure are destroying President Trumps Administration.

Yeah, I can see that being the catalyst.

After somebody spends a whole day bugging you, you finally say “well, a smart man never says never” or something similar.

It’s probably no more that that-gracious diplomacy.

It’s just that with climate fraud I much prefer something a little less gracious and diplomatic. Something more like, “forget it shorty, ain’t happening!”

Things die down and he fires them back up again.

Cannot help himself.

I do not want ANY “CLIMATE AGREEMENT” with ANY country, most especially the cheese-eating, winebibbing surrender-monkeys in France. The SUN controls the climate, not man. Trump, I trusted you. Don’t let us down.

I made this proposal before, and it may seem crazy on first blush. (well, it may seem crazy regardless). Anyway, here is the deal: If the polar ice caps are ice free in 2030, the United States will pledge $10 trillion in global warming ‘aid’ to injured countries. On the other hand, if they are not, the United States gets sovereign title to the oil fields, mineral resources and prime agricultural land of the signatory nations. Put up or shut the f - up.

Trump told a news conference. “If it happens, that will be wonderful, and if it doesn’t, that’ll be OK too.”

Perhaps The Donald will convert Macron?
