Looks like a meteor crater.

Looks like a crumbling meteor crater. Nothing about it to suggest that it’s some kind of construction.

It’s the tomb of a great Martian king.

On second thought, what is the scale of that picture? Just a few feet? If so, it could have been caused by all sorts of geologic or atmospheric events.

It’s a Quoit, from a previous era! A local YMCA?
If they look around they could find others, maybe even a Shuttlecock or two?

Not like nature could produce something as round as say a meteorite crator on the surface of a planet struck by metorites...

There are three stone fragments just above and to the left of the rock circle that are much more interesting, in my view.
Two of them appear to be smoothly cut and polished in a gentle curving pattern, while the third appears to be a square block embedded in the dirt.

The circle looks like the remnants of a meteor when it hit the surface.

These images from Mars are hard to explain. They cast shadows. They look like a forest of trees, but they'd be immense. Weird.

Looks like your basic ancient teleportation portal composed of a weird combination of basalt and pegmatite schist. The acidic atmospheric gales on Mars take their toll on even the best-built basalt/pegmatite portals...
