arly last August, an envelope with extraordinary handling restrictions arrived at the White House. Sent by courier from the CIA, it carried eyes only instructions that its contents be shown to just four people: President Barack Obama and three senior aides.
Inside was an intelligence bombshell, a report drawn from sourcing deep inside the Russian government that detailed Russian President Vladimir Putins direct involvement in a cyber campaign to disrupt and discredit the U.S. presidential race.

And can we believe any of this -- or is this just another attempt by the Dems and Obama to try to imply Russian involvement in the election with manufactured evidence?
It’s just more question-begging from the Democrats’ MSM.
And something to talk about, rather than REAL news. Like Lynch, Holder, losing elections, etc.....
BS...that dog eating POS is part of the fake news
So the unAmerican president knew there was a conspiracy against our election and did NOTHING but whine to Putin, to no avail. Thus the Wash Post admits BO was a weak, ineffectual failure at keeping our country safe, but then we all knew that.
I have to wonder when Putin will get tired of being poked with a sharp stick and starts playing a little hard ball with these Dem slime.
Who lies more to influence elections? Putin or the Washington Post?
Yeah it was so secret we all knew about it.................
This reads like something to excuse the behavior of the left and MSM obsessing of the Russian hacking. What is so secretive about this that they had to use a message boy? Sounds to me like the Russian story is going away but they still needed something to make it look like it was real.
For a leak this story was very long and detailed, just like somebody lying.
WaPo - Fake News
Bezos wants to be the next Soros. I love Amazon, but I will try to find other options. I feel un-patriotic every time I do business with them.
The WP feedback has reached epic levels of craziness.
More “Russia! Russia! Russia!” FAKE NEWS bullcrap.
Fake news.
Rush was on this today, it was priceless. He laughed gleefully over what he called the Washington Posts/dems desperate attempt to keep this whole thing alive, deconstructed content and premise quite nicely. Also said that the article, which is absurdly long, states that Obama told Putin in person to knock it off “or else” and Russia backed off. LOL
Comney testimony demonstrated that the Wash Post, the NY Times etc are either just making it up, or their “sources” have utterly no clue what so ever, about what is really going on.
Of course, the Wash Po, having long abandon any measure of journalistic ethics, simply continues their habitual lying.
Ok, I read as much of that tortured article as I could. It seems that wapo alledges that Russians posted anti hillary stories on Facebook which were fake because everyone knows how wonderful she is. And only because of a stern warning from bummer did we avoid interference with the actual voting systems.
According to the paper three dozens of former officials from the WH, State, Defence, Homeland, and Intelligence Community - all anonymous of course!
Some interesting things to note: Brennan (CIA) considered this information so sensitive that it was not included in the president's daily briefing - and still WaPo has some 30 persons with intimate knowledge of this affair. Go figure!
Also interesting that this story was not - according to the WaPo - included int he WH daily briefings. It is of course known now that Rep Nunes has seen Obama's briefings and those are part of at least one of the Congressional Investigation. Again, go figure!
And finally, the more the MSM and the Democrats paint the Russians as the champions of illegal IT activities, the more certain it is that HRC unsecured server, which contained bascially all of the secrets of the State Department was read by the Russians (and probably other nations as well). And BTW you cannot hack a server who is already destroyed. DJT's statement regarding Clinton's lost e-mail was not about asking Putin to hack the server, but instead asking the Russians to provide the FBI with the e-mails they (probably) had gotten hold of many years previously.
