DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) A plane is on its top at the Dayton International Airport.
The incident happened shortly before 12:30 pm at the Dayton International Airport where aircraft and crews are practicing for the Vectren Dayton Air Show.
The Thunderbirds posted a statement on Twitter about the incident:
USAF Thunderbirds were conducting a familiarization flight June 23. There was a mishap upon landing at 12:20 p.m. More info to come.

Wright-Patterson Air Force Base sent a crash team and heavy rescue crew to the scene.
No injuries have been reported but emergency crews are working to extricate two people from the plane.
Staff Sgt. Tabatha McCarthy with the Air Force Thunderbirds public relations office says There was a mishap while a plane was on the ground. She had no other information.
The City of Dayton released a statement Friday:
The City of Dayton is confirming an aircraft accident involving one of the acts scheduled to appear at the Vectren Dayton Airshow this weekend. There were 2 people on board. Airport Fire and Rescue are providing assistance at the scene. The airport is open. 2 NEWS has crews on the scene and we will keep you updated with the latest information as soon as we learn it.

According to a spokeswoman for the City of Dayton, two pilots were inside the F-16 jet, as of 11 a.m. PDT, one of the pilots was extricated from the plane, another is still inside, according to dispatchers. Their conditions are not clear.

They just moved in some heavy equipment to block the view of the cameras. This is not a good sign.....................

Hmmmm. The bulletin didn’t mention billowing smoke and crackling sounds. It seems to be more than a fender bender.
