Yep, they are still in Times Square. Seen them a couple of times.
Now we understand. It's a Mohammad thing.
Might be too much enjoyment in that. Dead is much better
I ran into these scumbags in Austin a few years ago. For three hours my son and I gave ‘me hell. They tried desperately to instigate a fight but we wouldn’t take the bait. Instead I would turn my back to them (thereby mocking their thug schtick) and preach to to crowd about false profits. It was a surreal experience.
I don’t recall seeing one person on this forum express approval of or defend David Koresh’s lifestyle.
What was the impetus for the military assault on the Koresh’s farmhouse? Do you know?
The BATF tried to claim Koresh was illegally selling weapons. The fact is, they never substantiated that claim. Koresh legally sold weapons with a person at the farm who was a registered permitted gun dealer. That was a bogus claim.
The ATF/FBI then tried to claim that they were there to rescue the young girl who was being abused. The problem was, the local Social Worker who was the only person who had researched those charges prior to the assault on the farm said she found no proof that Koresh was having sex with ANY minors on the farm. This means, she took no action against Koresh to validate a military assault on the farm.
This left the ATF without any valid reason for the military assault on the farm.
The ATF tried to sell the idea they were there to save the young girls, but they fired into the farmhouse at will, not knowing where the girls were. They showed no concern for the mortality of the girl’s whatsoever.
If you’re truly concerned for the children, do you fire into the building hundreds of times?
David Koresh was a runner. He ran frequently, either daily or at least three times per week. When he ran, he ran right past an ATF spying location. He was unarmed and could have been arrested without incident any time they wanted.
Koresh knew the local sheriff, and had at least some relations with him. The sheriff considered him a reasoned man and not a problem for or threat to the community. He was not consulted or informed prior to the military assault of the farm house. He was shocked by the ATF actions at the Koresh farm.
It was his opinion he could have phoned Koresh and asked him to drop by his office without incident.
I and a lot of others think Koresh was a wing nut. I must have missed where wing nut has been codified to be a crime so devious that the wing nut and all his associated would be given the death penalty for it. Those people were burned to death on purpose.
When the ATF first assaulted the farm house, it is very likely they fired the first shots killing dogs. There has also been a charge that they fired first through the front door. These charges could never be verified or refuted.
The farm house was raised to the ground destroying any evidence of government impropriety. The ground where government snipers appear to have fired into the building during the fire, and other areas were scraped clean as part of the sanitizing of the property post op.
This was a cluster “screw-up” from the word go.
I don’t have to agree with a man’s lifestyle or actions to defend him and around ninety others from being subjected to what those people were subjected to.
There was absolutely no justification for any of it.
sheet, he dindunuffin
Refutes nothing I said.
Well known by who? Did you go over to the farm and observe him doing it? Did you see bruised women? Did some of them tell you that? Did you or they tell the authorities?
The local Social Worker who did site visits at the farm made a public statement that she was unaware of any impropriety, and could not sustain a complaint against him.
Why is this important?
It is important because neither the sheriff, the social worker, or anyone else was able to provide evidence that supported the military assault on the farm.
There was no justification for the assault. Period.
(He preferred 7 year olds)
reminded of that Hogan Hero’s line where the Nazi General says
‘’you will have a fair trial after which you will be shot’
I think there was a lot of that dry humor in the Soviet Union. They knew they had a lemon on their hands. They just didn’t know how to get rid of it, until Reagan came along.
That’s the power of a positive mind.
Reagan freed up hundreds of millions of people, and kept billions more free over his eight years. The U.S.S.R. crumbled after he left office, but this is one time when the former president deserved the credit.
We have another guy like that right now.
This world will change for the better.
Today? A few hundred years ago marrying a 13 year old was not unusual.
here is hoping that Trump can reform the system before it collapses. Trump has a very solid grasp of the goal, but the swamp is fighting back hard.
my greatest fear is Trump fails and then it’s only a matter of time before Feds default. In that case Kiss SS & medicare goodbye. Hello to SHTF
As long as Trump is in the White House, we will be okay.
He understands economics, and he will spark the economy and cause an explosion of new jobs. Those new jobs mean that the employees and their employers will be contributing to the general fund.
As the general fund blossoms, Social Security and the accompanying benefits will be solvent.
The goal then is to provide something that is private sector based to replace them.
The next generation deserves better.
In a full blossoming economy, that will be possible.
The old system will be sunsetted, and as people die off over the following 40 years, the payout for those folks will approach zero.
Then the generations coming along behind will be supported by their own savings.
At this time, the government will be out of the health care provision business. We will be back to health care provided by a free market health care economy.
Savings accounts will produce perpetual income for retirees. People will be able to retire earlier. Their income will continue to grow. They will be able to live and have expendable income the rest of their lives.
I firmly believe something like this is possible.
your vision is similar to my vision and Trump understands this goal. However, the swamp creatures are never going to go without a struggle.
No, not Mohammad in this case. The Hebrew Israelites cult is something different.
Concise summary!
Vooch, I wanted to address your comments in relation to Koresh and the military assault on the farm.
I don’t know what took place at the farm. He could have been a really bad guy, abusing folks there.
So far, none of this is evident. I know the young girl testified, but I’ve forgotten her testimony. She may have revealed some things he did with her and I forgot. It’s been quite a while.
In years past, the ages of consent were pretty low, with parental permission. I mention this because I have bit harder time accepting someone being demonized of something that twenty years earlier was legal.
The law is the law, and I think the age of consent for marriage or even sex, should be higher. If we’re talking two kids, kids will be kids. If we’re talking about a clear adult and a child, that’s pretty despicable in my mind.
These thoughts sound a bit convoluted. We live in a nation where the death penalty is seldom enforced. Texas happens to be a state where it does, but even the federal government has seemed to stop conducting executions.
With this in mind, executing the folks at the Koresh Farm seemed to be just fine with Hillary and Web Hubble. They were running the command center after sending Janet Reno out to buy some new pumps.
All that firepower leveled at a house with ten kids and 70 or so adults...
Your comment was right on target.
“You will have a fair trial after which you will be shot...” or incinerated.
