It’s a fair question for jury voir dire.

Try him and execute him. He was responsible for the deaths of I believe six of his “comrades” who went looking for him. It will be a future warning to “wannabe” Berghdahls that their lives will be forfeited if they follow in his footsteps.

I'm quite sure Mike Rodgers interaction with President Trump was uncomfortable for him.
It's no fun laying out for the President of the United States and your new boss how you and other American intelligence agencies broke the law to spy on him for Hillary Clinton and Barak Obama.
Especially when each spying occurrence holds a ten year jail term if convicted.

The principal issue has to do with ensuring we are able to identify people who have been nominated to be on the court-martial panel the jury who are not in a position to render an impartial judgment, Eugene Fidell, Sgt. Bergdahls lead attorney, said Wednesday during a pretrial hearing, Stars and Stripes reported. So, people who voted Trump cannot be impartial, but people who voted Hillary or Bernie can?

Its a fair question Bullcrap. The ballot box is supposed to be private and protected. I'd tell the attorney that's not his damn business and I would not say, no matter who I had voted for.

I’d say I voted Hillary- why send up a flag. They can prove none of it.

Voting is secret. And should stay that way.

If the defense can eliminate jurors for voting for Trump, the prosecution should eliminate jurors for not voting for Trump.

It’s worth noting that this is a court-martial, not a regular criminal trial. I’d be curious to know how the UCMJ rules differ from civilian courts in this regard, but if I were a prospective jury and anyone asked me this question I’d answer: “It’s none of your f#%&ing business.”

I don’t agree, who we vote for is secret unless we divulge it voluntarily.

I don’t blame you. And that would probably be the end of it, since it would tell the attorneys everything they need to know.

Great — a jury full of Jill Stein and Evan McMullin voters. LOL.

Its a fair question for jury voir dire. Maybe in a civilian trial...but not a court martial.
To: jazusamo
Why would civilian jurors be used in a military court-martial?
To: BenLurkin
Hell no it isn’t.
Your vote is a private matter. PERIOD!
