Pure vanity here but hoping to start a discussion.
Could it be that the Trump has ALREADY started investigation of Hillary and her cohorts BUT is making darn sure none of it leaks?
Think about it. Trump is adamantly against leakers. BUT what if the political establishment KNOWS that this investigation is going on?
This would explain why they are so rabidly against Trump. He laid down the gauntlet on day one in his inauguration speech.
Does the left AND certain elements of the Republican party KNOW this and are doing everything in their power to have him "removed" before the investigation comes to light or is concluded?

No chance. His problem is the embedded bureaucrats who are highly partisan supporters of all Democrats. Just look at voting patterns of metro DC counties. These are the worker ants in the federal government. They hate Trump and will leak anything to impede his Presidency. If they were aware of an investigation into Hillary they would act as howler monkeys to leak word of it immediately. The fact that we don’t know about it is strong evidence it isn’t happening.
They don’t comment on on-going investigations.

Doubt it. Everything else is leaking and I am sure if investigation was underway it would be leaked to say it was politically motivated. DOJ should appoint special counsel to give charges fair consideration, else arrest her now and throw her in jail.
They don’t care about Hillary as much as they care about themselves.
Suppose a cop investigated a murder, and never gave the file to the DA but instead "No DA would pprosecute." Dirty cop, protecing a buddy sort of thing.

One of the things that the establishment can never undo is the fact that President Trump has exposed them all for being corrupt, lying swamp dwellers who aren’t worthy of being pissed on if they’re on fire.
This government is deeply corrupt at all levels and an investigation into Hillary’s crimes would only chip off a tiny piece of a massive iceberg. And there’s zero chance that any democrat on any committee would allow a legit investigation to proceed. they’ll be sabotaging and delaying and obfuscating and redirecting on every point, every day.
My pessimism has never been higher, unfortunately. But I’m truly grateful to President Trump and others for beginning to expose the rampant criminality in the halls of power.

I think it is a possibility. Look at all the republicans that now realize this isn’t about R vs D, but rather Americans vs the globalists. I’m sure there are any number of democrats who realize the dangerous position we are in and also hate the Clintons. If you can get a small, yet loyal group together?? Yeah.
Frankly, why waste time with an investigation? Everyone has seemed convinced that her crimes are so egregious that someone fresh out of law school could notch up an easy conviction. Yet nothing ever seems to move forward.

My answer to "There would be leaks" is that 1...we know that Trump is adamantly against it. IF there were leaks it costs a job. 2. IF the press DID print it then it becomes "the story" and it stops the fake stories about Russian collusion and Trump. In other words, the press KNOWS it and won't report it because it would hurt their side. It's WHY Trump is continually tweeting about "Why isn't' anyone curious about Clinton.
There would be NO leaks about it.
Look what happened with Comey. He was fired without even so much as a hint of a rumor. It was so unexpected that he learned about it by seeing it on TV -- and thought it was a joke.
This tells me that the Trump administration can keep a lid on a story if it really wants to.
