Coast Guard officials confirmed Thursday morning via Twitter four containers had been scanned and cleared. Fourteen agents with radiation detection technology investigated these containers and found no signs of radiation, officials said.

“Dirty” is not equal to “nuclear.” A “dirty” bomb is designed to cause panic and terror, with less emphasis on death and destruction. A “nuclear” device is a weapon of mass destruction that uses nuclear reactions to cause mass death and damage.

This was ‘breaking news’ at like 8am EST this morning... I am pretty sure they found no signs of radioactivity. I do not even think they have said why someone thought it had a dirty bomb on it.
