Fake news? Certainly, Attorney General Sessions has more pressing matters on his plate, right?

Sessions understands the damaging effects of marijuana on society.

Doesn’t seem like a good idea, Jeff.

Maybe you should prosecute actual criminals like Hillary Clinton.

If this is true, why in the world would Sessions ask the Legislative Branch for permission to do his job? There are plenty criminal laws on the books right now to address marijuana.

This is a funny thing, legislating through the budget. It’s funny, but it’s not at all unusual.

Divide and conquer by the Bezos Post. They know people’s opinions vary widely accross the political spectrum, and this is sure to ruffle some feathers, but at the end of the day Sessions’ job is to uphold the law.

Let it go. The Feds have no business regulating drugs; the states should do it. But we have unfortunately had a century old tradition of federal drug regulation that has usurped states rights, and conservatives have been conditioned to believe that this an acceptable constitutional beach, all in the name of a so- called tough to on crime approach.

Whatever you view is on marijuana, a true constitutionalist would go for the state regulatory approach. If a state wants to put pot smokers in prison for 20 years, that their right. If they want to subsidize pot farms, fine.

Does he not have better things to do? Think what you think but I have many friends who have gone through cancer and pot was the only thing that helped them recover and get through chemo etc.

International cartels have very little to do with “medical marijuana”, which is almost exclusively domestic product.

Traceable to domestic sources.

If this report is true, Sessions is both a zealot and an idiot. Dangerously both.

Sessions is such a disappointing failure. Nothing like picking low hanging fruit and disrupting people’s lives over a weed — all while the country continues to descend into total political corruption.

Sessions needs to go.

It’s the Mafia ties to recreational marijuana that will bring this to a head. Trust me.

The timing of this reveal is to create a distraction from the collapse of Comey's witch hunt.

As for the matter itself, Congress has plenty of ways to react. It can express that it wants the DoJ to ignore the law, or it can change the law, or it can give him what he has asked for. I see this a justified pressure on Congress. People should not have a risk of federal prosecution hanging over their heads. One way to get rid of the risk, is to promise to enforce the law.

Seems like a waste of time when so many guilty as sin democrats are running around free as birds. Mr. Sessions, please spend your time going after the Clintons, Obama, Lynch, and all the media who are just as guilty. Do your damn job and don’t you dare recuse yourself from anything ever again. That was just stupid.
