As opposed to opiates?

A growing body of research (acknowledged by the National Institute on Drug Abuse) has shown that opiate deaths and overdoses actually decrease in states with medical marijuana laws on the books.

If people can legally access medical marijuana for back pain, they can stay aware from prescribed opiates which are far more dangerous and destructive.

Apathy, mood swings, rage episodes, no motivation, depression, decreased concentration, suppression of the brain’s natural cannabinoid analogs.

Marijuana is an artificial cannabinoid. Let the body’s natural cannabinoids do their work.

Sessions understands the damaging effects of marijuana on society.

Just like the well-intentioned idiots who gave us Prohibition understood the damaging effects of alcohol on society.

Jeff Sessions is great on immigration and other issues but wrong to waste law enforcement resources to crack down on medical or recreational pot use. There are far worse problems facing our society than someone getting stoned.

Sessions understands the damaging effects of marijuana on society.

A growing majority of American voters disagree, including millions who voted for Jeff Session's boss.

The most damaging substance to society is alcohol. Far and away. It damned near killed me. By the grace of God and AA it’s twenty seven years one day at a time that I have been relieved of the obsession to drink.

The “War on Drugs” has been very damaging on personal liberty. We once had alcohol prohibition but we realised making it illegal was worse. I think it’s the same for all drugs.

“Sessions understands the damaging effects of marijuana on society.”

I will state up front that I have never used Marijuana. That said, my wife, owing to severe back pain that is not managed by current drugs available, got a CA permit, tried it for relief, and it helped, but not enough to warrant the risks of smoking it. We have also attended seminars put on by medical professionals who are trying to get the ability to use the several compounds that are present in marijuana to further research it’s uses to alleviate severe pain.
So that while the “getting high contingent” does post a detriment to society, you should not conclude that the drug itself has no value to society.

I know several people with severe chronic pain and medical marijuana is a godsend. If the Trump administration’s focus is on shutting these providers down, Trump will lose my support.

Medical marijuana doesn’t fall into that category, unless you’re a lobbyist for pharmaceuticals.

If this is true, which I doubt,it will turn FL blue guaranteed. 39 states now have medical MJ. PDJT won because he attracted independents, moderated and blue collar democrats. This is a losing proposition.

“Sessions understands the damaging effects of marijuana on society.”

If he’s concerned about the damaging effects of drugs, he should reign in the opioid manufacturers/distributors and the ALCOHOL INDUSTRY, both of which do far more damage to society than pot.

Sessions understands the damaging effects of marijuana on society.

In that case, I guess we can all look forward to additional efforts by Sessions on alcohol, nicotine & unhealthy food.

Unfortunately he doesn’t seem to understand the damaging effects of prohibition politics. Nor the negative effects of stupid anti MJ laws on otherwise peaceful citizens.

AG Sessions is great on many things, but seems to have a blind spot here.
