"It was going to be closed. Now open to public."

Some lefties were claiming a closed-door session would constitute "obstruction of justice." I welcome a public hearing, but not for BS reasons.

It’s going to have to be like Comey’s hearing. Part in public and part in private.

There will be a lot of info he can’t say in public

Is there no end to Sessions capitulations? Who switched it to Public? So Comey’s was supposed to be closed door he demanded it be made public it was. Then he’s allowed to postpone it so he can collude with the man investigating the President who fired him. If the Rats ran the Senate they would not put up with this BS for a second. I loathe the GOPe more then the Rats l swear.

Right.

Instead of riding thus ridiculous political witch-hunt merry-go-round, Sessions and the Senate should be investigating the numerous credible allegations against the Democrats-most notably the Clintons, Holder, and Loretta Lynch.

Why do they continue to play the left's game?

Huge mistake - it only serves to keep the media agenda in the spotlight and serves the Admin no good. If it were my Admin I would refuse to cooperate until someone cited the law (chapter and verse) that was supposedly broken. Talking to the Russians as part of the incoming administration is NOT against any law I am familiar with, BUT testifying will lead you into a huge snake pit. Ask Scooter Libby, they want you to be guilt and when all is said and done they will find you guilty.

This is an effort by the Uniparty being driven by their masters the MEDIA. I am sure Soros is behind all of this - he should be stripped of his US Citizenship.

Because Congress would rather fritter away their time in front of the cameras than actually doing anything constructive.

I really admire that sessions is so principled.

but you know what I kind of think he’s a sucker.

he’s not cynical and hard enough, not combative and unforgiving enough.

I would say he’s too principled at a point when we need a conservative, honky Holder.

-- It was going to be closed. --

Got a cite for that? Every report I was along those lines was pure speculation by the press.

I speculate that Burr would have closed it, because that feeds the "something nefarious" speculation. The DEMs have been clamoring to have it open, and Sessions had (correctly) said that it was up to the Committee, without stating a preference.

We don’t know what he is going to be asked, or what his opening statement will be. He may contradict Comey’s sworn testimony, throwing the question about credibility into the court of public opinion.
