I felt compelled to document my first conversation with the President-Elect in a memo. Creating written records immediately after one-on-one conversations with Mr. Trump was my practice from that point forward. This had not been my practice in the past. I spoke alone with President Obama twice in person (and never on the phone) – once in 2015 to discuss law enforcement policy issues and a second time, briefly, for him to say goodbye in late 2016. In neither of those circumstances did I memorialize the discussions. I can recall nine one-on-one conversations with President Trump in four months – three in person and six on the phone.

In other words: "Why no, Mr. Levin, I only started taking notes when I met President-Elect Trump."

I presume he'll say he only kept notes of his meetings with Trump because there was an investigation going on and he wanted to keep a record of any direct contact. An unusual situation, he'll say.

So how about just asking him where his notes from Hillary's interview with the FBI regarding her classified e-mail issue are? Oh yeah, nobody from the FBI took notes of that meeting. A meeting with an actual subject of an actual investigation. But Trump, who is not being investigated for anything, yeah, Comey needed notes and quotes from those meetings.

We are told that Obama didn’t want such meetings to occur because it could point to interference in investigations. We know that Lynch and Clinton met safely in private on a plane and they sure as hell didn’t do so to discuss grandbabies and yoga poses.
