I suspect this will be an attack. She’s had eight years to learn from the Fraud to double down when severely wounded. Big Media will be supportive because, “Dude, it’s been like a week, and she apologized already. Let it go. Trump is {insert a derogatory noun here}”, etc.

I think this is exactly what will happen. I was puzzled that the left threw Griffin under the bus for expressing what they all feel. I've had a feeling there was more to it than meets the eye. I do think that Griffin will emerge as a hero/martyr to the left, and the story will become the "incessant attacks from Trump and his supporters, blah, blah..." She'll probably get her CNN gig back as well. New Year's Day is still a long way off. If that doesn't happen, she can team up for a CBS version with Stephen Colbert.
