Bill O'Reilly said on Tuesday that Fox News is unlikely to do away with host Sean Hannity, adding that the conservative network can't "handle another shake-up" after his own ouster.
"Its the same thing, the far left going after him, trying to get him off the air," OReilly told The Associated Press in an interview. "I think Hannity will survive because I dont know if Fox can handle another shake-up like that."
O'Reilly was fired from Fox News last month after a New York Times report revealed that the network had paid about $13 million in legal settlements to five women who had accused the former "O'Reilly Factor" host of sexual harassment.
Before being removed from Fox, O'Reilly was among Fox News's highest-profile personalities, and his show was the top-rated cable news program. The conservative television host earlier this month cast his ouster as "a hit" by the "far left." And on Tuesday, he said that Hannity, also one of Fox News's major personalities, is being subjected to the same treatment.
Hannity has seen several advertisers pull out of his show in recent days after he propagated a conspiracy theory on air regarding the 2016 killing of former Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich.

What a BOR you are. ; )
I wasnt a huge fan of OReilly but his show was 10 times more interesting than Tucker Carlsons.
disagree entirely...but that’s what makes the world go round...
The article I read said USAA thought there would be a backing off of the Seth Rich story.
I hope not.
Right now, it’s the only theory that makes sense AND incorporates all the known facts.
+1.
FNC will never get rid of Shepard Smith. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if FOX picks him to moderate their 2020 Republican Presidential Primary debate.
Russian electoral collusion is a conspiracy theory.
The US media as a whole is about 90% negative towards Trump. Fox is only 52% negative towards Trump. If they can take out Fox they figure they have a lock on getting rid of Trump 2020 if not before.
I think they're taking Fox News to the Left of where it has been for 15 years.
If they go Left, I'm not sure what audience they expect to attract except to bleed off some from the existing liberal networks.
Because they sure won't get the loyal Fox News fans back if they go Left. And those fans will go where? OAN maybe? It's straight news with little commentary.
It'll be tough for someone to catch that firefly in the bottle again that Fox News Channel had for so long. There's an audience out there but to build a conservative network again with the right players and personalities is not easy. It will take time. And lots of money. Some big players will roll the dice maybe.
Yep. Zero evidence, too.
And, political collusion isn’t necessarily illegal in any case.
I believe the only law that I’ve ever hear of forbids financial donations from foreign entities. It would also be illegal to agree to promote any otherwise illegal act like theft, killing opposition, etc.
Is it illegal, for example, for Putin and Trump to agree to comment on Hillary’s bad health?
I don’t think so.
Sorry, the shouting matches with Leftist loons got old - quick.
RE: Who knows, maybe the Murdoch boys will sell Fox News to MSNBC
The Murdoch’s actually are in talks to acquire SKY NEWS from a British Group. This is BIG and requires government approval.
Problem ( for the Murdochs ): The British Government are NOT happy with FOX News’ relatively right-leaning politics. So, if the Murdochs want SKY NEWS, guess what they have to do?
There actually is a method to the madness that is going on.
Sinclair Broadcast Group really needs to get its cable news channel up and running ASAP.
Seriously, they are looking at a high grade gold mine, but time’s-a-wastin’. If they act immediately, they will be able to pick up a lot of talent from FOX. And even if it is somewhat disorganized at first, the audience is ready and waiting.
I think he’s correct about that.
But he and Hannity could help anchor another network.
It was a special kind of stupid to fire their ratings star.
O'Reilly swung really to the right this past year...and I found little to criticize him as I have done for almost two decades on this board. I miss his interesting show sorely.
Hannity's net worth is about $80 million. He should jump the Fox sinking shop, move to Florida to run for the Senate against the DemRat Nelson, or hover till a new conservative-financed network other than OAN arises on a regular cable network.
The Five is just pitiful.
I like Tucker but he regularly and almost exclusively gives a free, nation-wide platform to the the radicals, loons, commies and scum-of-the-earth to promote themselves and their ideas. Not a good idea.
I love Eric Boling, also...he tries so hard, but the poor guy can't control the over-talking on his show and he's stuck with third-string panels of some of the lamest and most irritating guests on TV.
The Fox evening lineup is now ruined for me and every conservative I communicate with.
The Morlock brothers have made every bad decision they could....however, I don't think they give a big damn. They have global communications fish to fry...and their U.S. cast of personalities are merely little guppies to move around or to get rid of at will.

I agree with your comments about Hannity leaving FNC! Your comments about Tucker were “right on.” I can’t stand to watch his wrinkled brow and raised eyebrows! He needs a testosterone infusion when handling Liberal vermin and he gives them too much air time. If we wanted to listen to brain dead rambling RATs, we would watch CNN or PMSNBC.
Fox is in the toilet.
It's channel 347 on DirecTV.
There are some here, who "love" Tucker/his show, but, for the life of me, I can't understand why. He's a lousy wimp, mushy middle GOPEer, whose guest fall into two WHO GIVES A DAMN category; faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar left idiot NOBODIES, who should NEVER be given a platform of any kind to speak and other people who work on FNC ( which is boring as all getout and this stupid segment has been done to death on other shows for years )and that's it. And worst of all, Tucker never shuts down the faaaaaaaaaaaar lefty cretins; he just rolls his eyes, stares at them open mouthed, or makes an extremely, 1/2 hearted stab at refutation, which the lefty guest yells over.
