Then Tea Party Walsh ran for re-election against Duckworth and ran the worst campaign I've ever seen.
The Crook County Democrats raised property taxes when everybody's property was underwater. The Reagan/Trump Democrats/Independents were outraged and in open rebellion against the Democrat tax increases.
The Reagan/Trump Democrats were playing by the rules; paying their mortgages as they had promised even though their houses were worth less than the mortgage balance after years of paying down that balance. They took the Democrat tax increase as a personal attack on them.
So what does Tea Party Walsh do? Against the advice of his advisors, Walsh ignores the tax issue. Walsh attacks Duckworth over her Veteran status. Attacking a wounded warrior is not the way to get the vote of Reagan/Trump Democrat/Independent voters.
Later in the campaign Walsh went stupid on abortion. But attacking a Veteran sealed his fate early on. As the voters told me: "We are not voting against him because he is wrong on the issues. We are voting against him because he is stupid."
Isn’t this how the Socialist Democrat Party has always operated? USE PEOPLE for what they can do for the PARTY, not what they can do for America and Her interests?
As a Vet, this makes me sick to my stomach.
Good strategy. Democrats cannot get elected if the run on what they actually do and believe, so they need to lie.
They only like military people when they think they can use them for political gain. Just like they throw Jesus and the Bible around to make Christians look like hypocrites. THEY are the pinnacle of hypocrisy.
Very few vets that I know of will vote for a DemocRAT. Myself being one of them. The old adage of voting for the person, and not the party no longer applies. The Democratic Party is the party of evil. It is the refuge of rich old white men who use the party for their own ends. If you are pro God, guns and life, you are not welcome in the Democratic Party. If you are a Democratic politician, I can only assume you are so for one of two reasons...greed or totalitarianism. You are there to enrich yourself or you are there because you want to control other people. Or both.
Two problems with that strategy:
1) Many Democrat voters do not really respect veterans.
2) Republicans have better veterans because they actually stand for freedom.
Like John McCain...
I rest my case.
Yes, veterans can make very good leaders and political candidates.
Guys like Murtha, McCain, and others reveal that isn’t always the case.
Patriotic veterans like John Kerry, George McGovern, Lee H. Oswald? There are lefties who served in the military, it doesn’t make their anti-american commie views more valid.

If it wasn’t for double standards, the Dems wouldn’t have any standards at all.

The Democrat Thug Party sends them off to war then cuts funding to support them.
The dems place everything on “titles”. But, most of us take a look at the person. McCain is a vet. The Muslim shrink of Fort Hood infamy was a vet. There are a lot of vets that are not good people.
I hope that after these veterans win the Dem primary, that those who are “stolen valor” are unmasked and ruined.
I doubt the Dems will do a very good job of vetting these vets.
