President Donald Trump lambasted Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, after the president claims the PA leader deceived him regarding his partys involvement in anti-Israel incitement.
Trump met with Abbas in the PA-controlled city of Bethlehem last week during his two-day visit to Israel. The two held a joint press conference, at which time the president praised Abbas commitment to restarting negotiations with Israel for a final status agreement.
But according to a report by Channel 2 Sunday evening, the closed-door meeting between the president and the PA chairman was anything but cordial.
A US official present during the meeting claims the president expressed outrage with Abbas, yelling at him regarding Abbas claims that his Fatah faction was not involved in anti-Israel and anti-Semitic incitement.
You tricked me in Washington, the president is said to have yelled at Abbas, referencing the PA leaders March trip to the US capital.
During his March get-together with the president, Abbas claimed he was dedicated to advancing peaceful relations with Israel, and that the PA was not engaged in incitement against the Jewish state.
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu publicly called out Abbas claim, noting the PAs continued material support for jailed terrorists and promotion of hateful propaganda encouraging young Arabs to take up arms against Israel.
"I heard President Abbas yesterday say that the Palestinians teach their children peace, said Netanyahu. Unfortunately, that's not true. They name their schools after mass murderers of Israelis and they pay terrorists, he said at the opening of a meeting with the Romanian prime minister in Jerusalem.

Better late than never.
I agree. Trump isn’t the type to blindly enter a negotiation. I think this was his expected outcome. Everything else is theatrics.
Abbas has been lying to Americans and Europeans for years. DJT needs to DRAIN THE SWAMP now - all those in Washington that let or advised him to meet with the mass- murderer terrorist and yes, liar known as Abbas.
A muslim lied? Shocked, I tell you!
I look for the following:
1. President Trump to provide, seen or unseen, as much aid as the Israelis could handle, under the ‘too much winning theorem’.
2. I expect, that in the coming months, an unexpected erasure of the P.A. (Palestinian Auth./Pain in the Ars) leadership.
3. The American embassy to be built in Jerusalem, after it has been cleansed of the mohammedan infection.
4. The Palestinian Authority rises in an upstart fashion, for the last time.
“BTW, who is the we to who you refer???
Yes, what’s with this “we” business, you got worms?
Quick learner there. Not.
+1.
the crowd that still doesn’t have a clue about how Trump negotiates continue to sound as clueless as the MSM
0bama would say that he really didn’t mean that and Abbas is really really a nice guy; it’s them stiff necked Israeli’s that are the problem. /s
Does Trump really think muzzies play nice?
Abbas has always been a liar..he is woven in with Hamas, Hamas controls the Gaza strip and uses the money given to them to make tunnels to kill Jews..the only “Peace” Arabs want is when all Jews are dead..that to them is peace
Arutz Sheva is the only conservative outlet for news in Israel. More conservative than anything on TV in the states.
Liars...
Will not Abide.
This report, if true, shows Trump to be extremely naive and uninformed about recent history between the PA and Israel.
Beyond that, he seems to be surprised that a foreign leader would lie to him. In that, he follows virtuall all our presidens since Regan who held to the simple mantra: Trust but verify.
Perhaps the president hadn’t been aware of that?
OMG I love this President!!!!!!!
“A US official present during the meeting claims...”
Who?
Fire them.
There were many here who called this when it happened..probably a lot of people.
I hope you are right that this is just public exposure. GORKA should have told him...and maybe did at the time
