A reporter who was a firsthand witness to an incident late Wednesday involving Montana GOP candidate Greg Gianforte and a reporter for The Guardian now admits she may have misstated some details of her initial story.

A LITTLE late as the damage is done.
That’s the point. They lay a BS charge and then retract it for “credibility’s” sake.
Will this make a mainstream newspaper or channel? nope.
Damage? Will the Republican lose because of this?
I don’t know what’s going on in the race in MT.
Gianforte should prefer charges for trespassing and assault on the Guardian reporter, also file a restraining order on him.
A body slam is when you pick someone up, lift them to your shoulder region, and plant them flat on their back on the ground/mat.
This guy may have shoved the person, but he didn’t body slam him.
The whole premise was twisted from the start, to make Greg Gianforte look bad so nobody would vote for him.
If the guy loses the election in a close call, I’d like to see him take the media outlets to court who lied about this.
Looks like a setup to me. A fake news story was created to get the results they wanted.
I would think body slamming a reporter would be a plus.
They all deserve it if you ask me.
Republican is 15 points ahead
A friend from there told me an alpha local taking down a beta MSM should get him another ten points ! ;-)
Rush just said that 70% of the voters ALREADY voted. Not everyone will hear about this today. Of the ones who hear of this the commie cowboy has to carry them 3:1. And the ‘correction’ comes out to reduce an effect if any. Prediction: Gianforte BY 7-10.
Oh and 2/3 of people have already voted
Can the House and the craven Ryan refuse to seat him.
Look who’s interfering with elections again.
This is in Montana.
Our guy lost the snowflake, gay, transgendered and left lib voters the day he entered the race.
This will bring a lot poed indepent voters to his side.
He will get an extra 10% of votes for being an Alpha Male and saying no more bs from reporters.
Yes.
Now that the story received election even saturation coverage and has affected some voting decisions . . . and it’s too late for the retraction to get much coverage . . . this is the time to backtrack on intentional lies. Just like in November of last year, it’s not the Russians “hacking” our election. It’s journalists in an all-out network of coordinated lies trying to manipulate low-information voters.
They wouldn’t... Ryan and his merry band of thieves are already on thin ice.
A lie will be half way around the world before the truth can even get its boots on
