USAA, an insurance, bank and financial services company that caters to active duty military, veterans and their families, is getting slammed by members after announcing on Twitter Wednesday night the company was withdrawing advertising on the Sean Hannity show in response to pressure from liberal activists trying to silence Hannity by cutting off his advertising base. It was not stated by USAA if they advertised on Hannitys Fox News Channel show or his nationally syndicated radio show.
Hannity is a strong supporter of the military and veterans. He has a strong fan base among the military community.
The effort to drive Hannity off the air was promoted by Democratic Party front group Media Matters which posted a list of Hannitys advertisers this week for liberals to complain to after Hannity pursued the unsolved 2016 murder of Democratic Party activist Seth Rich in Washington, D.C. and possible connections to Wikileaks.

Ok Mr. Principles...
Well you obviously have none. You would like tyranny to take over because it saves you a few bucks.
I've been with USAA for 45 years and watched as they changed from being there to serve active, retired and separated military members to seeking more and more civilians with only the flimsiest of connections to the military. This coincides with fewer and fewer veterans on the Board of Trustees.
They need to take a long hard look at themselves and get back to their roots!
“”To be honest, I liked USAA better when they never advertised anywhere””
We inquired about their auto insurance probably 10 years ago. Our current carrier and rates were much better so we stayed where we were. I’ve shredded at least 2, sometimes 3 advertising pieces from them every single week. I send them back in their own reply envelopes - REMOVE FROM MAILING LIST - and they still mail them.
Apparently you can cancel a car insurance contract in the middle of the term and get a pro rated refund. Who knew?
I’ve been a USAA member for 35 years. I just called them to try to confirm this report. A very helpful & thorough Customer Service Rep was not able to locate any information on this report or Tweet. Eventually, I was forwarded to their Media Relations line and left a VMX with them.
Before everyone goes & cancels their USAA accounts, let’s get definite confirmation and determine WHO initiated this action. If it was done by a 3rd party advertising company, USAA will sort things out.
The only knee jerk response was USAA’s response to media matters. And I would put GEICO’s service up against USAA’s any day.
USAA is one of the highest insurance providers around. GEICO is better and I went away from GEICO years ago. What you did not state in your post were the details of your cars. I could have two cars and have full coverage a lot lower based on the attributes of the cars and the drivers. There is a lot more to a premium than “just having a car or two” like multiple policy discounts, safe driver discounts etc. All of that factors into the premium you pay.
I recently compared my homeowner insurance versus USAA and checked each time I refi’d my home. In every case, USAA was not just more expensive but less overall coverage to boot. I refuse to have anything other than a checking and savings account with them if I ever need it.
See Target.
Conservatives need to counter punch the liberal agenda and show strength in numbers. It's time to start standing up to the lunatics trying to destroy our country with their ill informed Soros brainwashing.
I had life insurance with GEICO back in 1972. When I came back in the Corps (USMC), GEICO cancelled my policy. During my discussions with them about their reluctance to insure military men, I asked, "Aren't you covered by a War Clause"?
They replied, "Oh, you Marines are always getting shot at even if there is no war going on."
Goodbye GEICO, Hello USAA!
Yeah, I can’t leave USAA. It is the best company I have ever dealt with. Although, if they are going lib they will lose their edge on service. Every enterprise libs touch, dies.
Murdock’s retard sons won’t stop until they have totally destroyed Fox News. They are rich liberals, afterall. Money does not matter to them. They have enough to take the hit. Their dad must be loosing his mental faculties to allow his son’s to outright destroy wealth.

42 Year member of USAA. This is a very bad decision on their part. They’ll be hearing from me.
I have been with them since I graduated from college in 1969, almost 50 years.
I have never been let down by their fast, responsible, dependable service. They settle claims quickly. I have them for auto, home and banking.
You will be making a mistake to leave USAA over this alleged action. I have never had an agent from another company quote me when they find out I already have USAA. They decline to offer quotes because they know they can't compete.
I just called USAA and asked the Rep if they had stopped advertising on Sean’s show. She immediately put me on hold. When she came back a minute or so later she transferred me to their “Media and Advertising” dept. It went straight into voicemail.
I have been a member since the mid 90’s and I am thoroughly ticked off.
USAA needs to hear from us all the same. Their “alleged” action is out of character.
For a story (Seth Rich) that they’re saying is false, they sure are trying to bury it. If it’s really false, why not just let Hannity go with the story and make a fool of himself, discrediting himself? All of this pressure to bury the story makes thinking people suspicious. The story’s not going away, even if it’s discussed in dark basements around the country. Burying the story will make sure it persists.
I’ve been a banking customer for 30 years. I have considered moving my insurance and retirement money over to them, but I just let them know that I will not be doing that if they join the enemies of free speech.
